What kind of presenter am I? K28

Having presented in an impromptu speech, how did you evaluate yourself as a presenter? How have your friends and group members evaluated you? How do you feel about the evaluation? Are they justified? Post about your strengths and weaknesses as a presenter based on the feedback you got.

A lot of practice help me to speaks very well..

The most terrifying moment ever voted wasn't DEATH,but is PUBLIC SPEAKING instead.
I would like to specify the public speaking as an impromtu speech.

The moment your name is called and it's your turn to speak, your heart pulpitates twice the speed as usual, you can feel your sweaty palms, and no matter how many times u wipe it against the sides of your shirt, the sweatiness still won't go away. These are the signs of nervousness, and happens to me on my eve first impromtu speech.

I would evaluate myself as a below average presenter,as there were much room for improvement.Time was an issue,as we were given limited time to prepare our notes.I have the weaknesses of going blank and words jumbled all up as I speak when I'm nervous. And even if I have the points, all words will be hanging in my mind like jig-saws,waiting for me to rearrange them in order again. So,I shall have to work hard on the issues mentioned.

My group members commented that as I went on,my points were getting lesser and lesser, and I fumbled to find the right words to say.Thank you very much for your feedback guys!!!!

And oh,not to mention that I really admired the way one of our classmate,Mashi, who presented her speech confidently.I definitely have a lot to learn from her.

Last but not last, would like to thank to our Pn Jumani for her tips to being a good speaker. And also for encouraging us to speak up.Indirectly, you are helping us to build our self-confidence and make us feel comfortable with ourselves as we speak.

the best one?=definately not...yet..
the uneffective one?the 'syok sendiri' one?the don't-know-what-u-r-talking-about one?=unmistakably yes..
my speaking skill's already rotten by age..2 years not talking in public surely affect me a lot..
people are not born with speaking skills..
if i don't practice i won't b a good speaker s simple s that..
but u know the-hide-ur-nervous,need-too-organize-ur-speech,having attention getter, all of those what make ur presentaion good thingy? It's not s easy s it sounds..
yes we know that we HAVE to have eyes contacts with the audience,we HAVE to make the audience our number one priority but when we were up there on the stage the audience suddenly no longer matter..our thought is consumed by the need 2 just finish all the point in our presentation n be done with it which in the end brand us s a very bad presenter..life's sucks i know..
it takes a lot of times n practice in order 2 make us a good presenter@public speaker..am i up 2 the challenge?u bet i do.. but r u up 2 the challenge?well that's something that u need to think about urself..
so long 4 now..ciao..

Hello everybody!
Winnie Here~~

I am not a good speaker!
I knew it!
As my language is not as good as my friends, so when i witnessed that they can speak so fluent in front of the class, i am getting nervous! I felt that my heart want to pop out and i sweat seriously!

I cant deliver my messages as clear!
My sound is quite soft and like mashi said, i am too ladies!
haha~~
But the most important is the time management!
We need to manage our time as well because there are just limited time for us to talk!

I scared of public speaking yet IMPROMPTO SPEAK...it is the hardest session of speaking i ever met...It is terrible!!!We need to prepare ourself within few seconds and present the issue without any preparation.

I found that i am really weak on my time management during the 2 minutes. It make my whole speech to be incomplete and inorganised.

The other problem that is my language.Although sometimes i might not as nervous but i wil be if i cant think of proper words or phases to express myself.

I found that we will realise our weaknesses as much when we gone through lot of practise.what i got to understand is I would rather make mistakes now compare to make mistake in the future...Atleast they is lecturer and friends here to guide me and they wont look us down...

So i will do my best to prevent nervousness to attack me yet i will present and learn from mistake.

Thanks to everyone that encouraged and guided me!!!:)

hopefully after this, i wud be a bttr person on stge..
i like the way MASHI's confidence n language..i like PUTRA's real confidence n ethusiasm...they really put on effort...n i like MDM JUMANI'S actions n 100%-no shy- styles...hehehe...by the way...

woahh...

Its really nice topic to discuss...
Actually, im not sure that im what type of presenter...

If spontaneous speech means it will be difficult to finish it with successful...
But Prepare speech will be more successful speech.

My friend also said that im talk with nervous feeling and lost
concerntrate went talk at stage...
Feel sad to listen to all of this but its all take simple and overcome that problem that i face... my strength is looked at audience and talk .Inmeanwhile,my weakness is did not talk fluently and clearly...

I try my best to improve my speaking in public...

impromptu speech is one of the best activity that i do in UMP. base on respond from the judges, i think i must improve something such as eye-contact and language to become a good presenter. sometimes i feel afraid to talking in english but i will try to buid up my confidence to speak in english. hopefully, more activity like this will have in our class. thank you..

Honestly,I don't like to give a speech. So when I come to UMP I must have a leadership and skill communication.I'm not a good presenter.when my friends give respond to me ,I accept it because I want to learn.
My strengths when I give impromptu speech is I can smile to audience and eye-contact is still ok.I also have some confidence to give a speech. My voice is clearly.
Then my weakness as a presenter is
time management.Time is very important in a speech.so next time i will elert with time.My english also not so good.
Thank you to Pn Jumuni because give me this opportunity to give a
speech then i will know my weakness and my strengths. That all....

having to present in impromptu speech is no my favourite activities because i will get nervous ,futhermore impromptu speech required us to speak spontanneously. After all experience in giving speech i can tell that i am a average presenter, but lot i need to improve especialy in my pronounsation ,all of my team member agree with my opinion and i satisfied with that. For becoming the best presenter i need to practice more ,altough i have a loud voice as my strengths.

sory teacher..i late again..

well i am not a good presenter..this is because when i present in front of the audience i will get nervous and scared...i do not why...but when i try to present all the points and ideas that i remembered, i did not remembered......

other reason why i said that i am not a good presenter is that no eye contact with the audiences....all good presenter will have eye contact with the audience, but me...well...i will look around rather than the audiences eyes...hehehe...

well, i hope that i can solve this problem so that i can be the best presenter...

truly, i am not a good presenter yet, but today i realize that presentation will be a part of my life,
so if i use to give bad presentation, just like i have a bad life,

the main problem in presentation is i become nervous when i speak to the public even in front of my friends.....

when nervous, i become blurrr and all the words that have been arranged has gone....and my mind??....zero...

but thanks a lot to madam jumani as she really help me technically to improve my presentation skills....

and me also..i have to practise a lot as practise make perfect...chow

Salam..

I am the simple presenter one. I dont prefer to present to the audiences about something that complicated for them to understand. That kind of presentation will look bore, and i know that such as insert lots of elaboration sentences in the slide show.
I will try to make the simple one as the best that i could. For me a simple presentaion will make me more ready and prepared.

The simple one means that i will insert points of elaboration only and insert interesting pictures that related to the points. And also those pictures will look more amazing as the background design.

By doing this the audiences will pay more intention on me as i know they are waiting for the elaboration or inputs from me. Well sometimes the audiences read faster than me. Therefore this method is helpful. Besides i will be more confidence so that the inputs given won't dissapoint them.

Unfortunately, i will take lots of time to prepare the materials and sometimes it took couple of weeks before the presentation.
This is becaus i need to come up with the idea first and really need the help from the internet to search for the points. By that its going to take a while and sometimes days to look for the points.
