hey there...
lately i have been reading some articles about engineering disasters...
what amazes me is that most of these disasters caused by the stubborness of the engineers...
for my example, i like to brought up the traggic death of the crews of apollo 1...
what's shocking is that these man were caught in the command module's camera and sound recorder struggling for their death..
every shout..every suffering was recorded..
and they can survive,if only NASA built the door according to what have planned..for more info, wikipedia 'apollo 1'...
so,becoming an engineer is a very big responsibilty...
one mistake by us soon-to-be engineers could bring disasters to others...
so,let's strive to be a professional engineers...

Albert Einstein.. When I read about him, I am wonder the way his thinking about this life. It is so great when a person can change the way of thinking even until today, especiall if we are the person. His routine still almost the same with us, but his contribution to the community make he is different if compare with us..Hence, I hope someday I can contribute to the community just like him.

Hi,
Our group choose Albert Einstein. I have read about him before. If i'm not mistaken he use 3 percent of his brain and we only use 1 percent of our brain. He donated his brain to scientist so that they study of his brain. He retired when he realised that he cause many lives killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He regretted. But to me please don't just look at what his mistake. We should look foward and see also what he left to us.The physics theory that he left to us is still use today...

I have read an article about Steve Irwin. Actually it is for our presentation, but it's kinda interesting. I never knew that he had been acting in Dr Dolittle movie and as a voice actor in Happy Feet movie. It's a new discovery!!
Well, one thing for sure, he is a very well-known crocodile hunter ever in the whole wide world. No one ever devoted his life living with the crocodile other than himself.

in august u know is test 1 month,of course i read a lot of book such as physical chemistry, mathematics, titas and organic chemistry which i face a lot of questions as is too thick. My eyes start rolling........
But more meaningful thing i ever read is about a mother who willing to donate her eye to his son who lost one eye when accident. But the son doesn't know that and think her mother situation is an embarrassment for him.He try to work harder so that he can get better job and leave as far as possible from his mother. Finally he manage to settle down in singapore and build lovely family. One day his mother goes visit him in singapore and his children are laughing at her.He very angry for the drop by of his mother and scold at his mother,The mother feels sad says sorry before saying goodbye.Since that onward,he never see his mother appear again. One day he get a letter of school reunion. He is force to come.He curious when passing his old house, someone appear to tell him that his mother is passed away and left him a letter. The letter say:My dearest son i am glad that you success in your life.i never mean to scare your children but i really miss u.but i happy to see u be a normal person without any handicap.I know i do not make the wrong decision to give up my eye to you.Remember you accident when are small and lost one eye?I am not let it be your destiny to be like that.so i decide to give my eye to you,i never regret of doing so as you have made full use of my eye seeing beautiful thing that i dream of.I am proud of you.
The son feel regret but nothing he can do to make it up to his pass away mother.
This make me touched and almost cry.So meaningful.

Partial Lunar Eclipse was happening in month of August. The actual date was on August 17; between 2.25am and 6.29am. Unfortunately, I'm not able to witness such incredible phenomenon. What a waste?

In August, I can still remember an article about Lee Chong Wei going into final for badminton male single in olympic. It was a nation hope to see Chong Wei to bring back gold for Malaysia, at least for the first time ever. It was quite tense for everyone to watch the final between Chong Wei and Lin Dan. But as expected from the chinese people, Lin Dan won a gold for people republic of China. Although many were depressed about it, but they still proud of Chong Wei for bringing a medal for Malaysia.

In the last holiday, i read the newspaper. I discovered a interesting news about a teacher give Tiong a slap. When a member of parliament asked state education director Dr Julaihi Bujang to resign over the issue of sex in Bintulu schools, he did not realise that he was taking on teachers in the state. Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing came under fire from five teachers' association for taking the issue. STU president William Ghani Bina said Tiong's statement on Sunday that Julaihi should quit due to her inability to sort out out the problem was a slap in the face for teachers. He said Tiong was very unprofessional and should use proper channels to air his unhappiness. Then, He was incensed when he was asked to show proof of his allegation. Tiong alleged the students even recorded their act on either their mobile phones or digital cameras, with an incident allegedly taking place in a school toilet last year. STU secretary-general Tho-mas Huo told a press conference that the education department had taken "appropriate action" in the matter. But, he declined to disclose the nature of actions. Finally, the matter was not solved and other problems appeared. This is show the unprofessional of some MP members. i hope they will improve their skills in the future, therefore they can attempt this kind of problem easily and not let the problem like this one. In conclusion, This country will be developed with those professional people in the government.

well this week i read about tsunami.so i would like to share with you some information about the natural disaster which killed millions of people few years back

A tsunami is a series of waves created when a body of water, such as an ocean, is rapidly displaced. Earthquakes, mass movements above or below water, some volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions, landslides, underwater earthquakes, large asteroid impacts and testing with nuclear weapons at sea all have the potential to generate a tsunami. The effects of a tsunami can be devastating due to the immense volumes of water and energy involved. Since meteorites are small, they will not generate a tsunami.

The Greek historian Thucydides was the first to relate tsunamis to submarine quakes,[1] [2] but understanding of the nature of tsunamis remained slim until the 20th century and is the subject of ongoing research.

Many early geological, geographic, oceanographic etc., texts refer to "Seismic sea waves"—these are now referred to as "tsunami".

Some meteorological storm conditions—deep depressions causing cyclones, hurricanes—can generate a storm surge which can be several metres above normal tide levels. This is due to the low atmospheric pressure within the centre of the depression. As these storm surges come ashore the surge can resemble a tsunami, inundating vast areas of land. These are not tsunami. Such a storm surge inundated Burma (Myanmar) in May 2008.

Recently, I have read an article at the internet.I hope this article can give some information to you.

Pneumonia - Symptoms:-

Symptoms of pneumonia caused by bacteria in otherwise healthy people younger than 65 usually come on suddenly. They often start during or after an upper respiratory infection, such as influenza or a cold, and may include:
•Cough, often producing mucus (sputum) from the lungs. Mucus may be rusty or green or tinged with blood.
•Fever, which may be less common in older adults.
•Shaking, "teeth-chattering" chills (one time only or many times).
•Fast, often shallow, breathing and the feeling of being short of breath.
•Chest wall pain that is often made worse by coughing or breathing in.
•Fast heartbeat.
•Feeling very tired (fatigue) or feeling very weak (malaise).
•Nausea and vomiting.
•Diarrhea.

Symptoms of pneumonia not caused by bacteria (nonbacterial) include fever, cough, shortness of breath, and little mucus when you cough. They may come on gradually and are often less obvious and less severe than those of bacterial pneumonia. Many people don't know that they have nonbacterial pneumonia because they do not feel sick.
When symptoms are mild, your doctor may call your condition "walking pneumonia."
