There are many ways to shop smart...
-just have to open your eyes(and mouth)to the many innovative ways in which manfctures mrket their products..
OPENING YOUR MOUTH=TO ASK(about the priduct, promotion n discount if it doesn't seem clear to you,do not always assume...) besides that,we also can apply "OPEN MOUTH"in our studying because in study we can't shy,we have to ask teacher if we are not understand about the subject..

salam and hello to everyone..:)
Hmm,i had readng smething and i want to share with all of you...
this is about "THE POWER OF LAUGHTER"

Actually aLL of us seek for happiness in our life and one of the most powerful form of joy is laughter.
Often we hear people complaining of having worries, tensed muscles, void in their heart or having a heavy heart, angry, unhappy and other wellbeing issues not realising that a jolly good laugh can ease these problems.

Laughter is cheap and easily available within us and is a form of energy of which the more of it is spent the more of it remains.
The laughter group say that while we laugh, our whole body is exercised and after we finish laughing, our whole body begins to “lighten up” and we relax tensed muscle, reduce stress in the nerves, massage the lungs, restore a full and flowing breathing pattern and gently expand our circulation once more.hehe..

Benefits of laughter;
-Eases depression and insomnia
-Reduces tension and stress
-Promotes relaxation
-Increases oxygen level in blood and enhances energy
-Removes boredom and anxiety
-Attracts more friends
-Increases joy

so....have fun and don't forget to laugh and smile always....hehehe...

from SHAFIZA.....peace..(*,*)

suddenly i remember bout a novel i have read once titled ps:i love u.. i really hate the story evolving death and sad ending but somehow this novel caught me..
it was beautifully written by cecilia ahern about a widow who cling to her husband's letters like 10 commandments..
her husband thought her how to live n let him go..
the novel was very touching but in the same time also very witty that made u want to stick reading it until the end..
unfortunately the movie's suck..gosh i hate those people who made movie out of a novel n suck at it..
they ruined my imagination..they should be sued..
but i really can't wait the movie of twillight adapted from my favourite novel by stephanie mayer..hopefully it'll be good..

SINGLES FOR LIFE!!!HOORAY!!!

hey guys.. this is only for those who want to be singles or really singles for the whole life.. :P

- You can do whatever you want, whenever you want. No questions asked. No guilt about doing it either. You don't have to make excuses. You don't have to call your girlfriend to check in on her or ask her permission to go somewhere.

- You can fool around with as many women as you want.

- You can have a lot of fun.

- You can go out to places that you otherwise couldn't go to if you had a girlfriend.

- You can have fun and spend time with your friends. A lot of married people don't have a lot of time to spend with their friends anymore.

- You can really focus on your career, education, fitness, and goals.

- You have time to improve yourself and become a better person.

- You are free. You don't have anything holding you down or back.

- You don't have to listen to any bitching.

Gues those who's single like me wud enjoy our singlehood..but hey..who can stand being a single for the entire life? ABSOLUTELY NO!!!

Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50.
he passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles.
She said no other details were available and asked that his family's privacy be respected.
The comedian suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He recently was hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.

Ways To Say, "I'm Sorry!"
by Jennifer M. Good

It's pretty inevitable that, at some point, you and your sweetie will go toe-to-toe on an issue. Unfortunately, when you find yourself in the wrong, it isn't always easy to admit it.

This doesn't mean, however, that it has to stay that way. If you've found your way into the "dog house," try using a few of the ideas below to make your way out.

Even if you are not the one in the wrong, it's good to remember that a sincere gesture can go a long way.

• Take an old sheet and write "I'm Sorry!" across it using a large tipped felt pen or marker. Hang it up somewhere your partner will see it, like the shower, garage door or a wall.

• Write a note explaining your feelings. Break any tension by putting the note inside of a humorous "I'm Sorry" card.

• Write out "I'm Sorry" using little Hershey's Kisses or rose petals.

• Write "I'm Sorry" on quite a few sticky notes and leave them all over the room, or on your partner's car.

• Hire a singing telegram person to sing an "I'm Sorry" message to your partner.

• Order flowers and include an "I'm Sorry" note.

• Give your partner a big hug and kiss, and tell them you are sorry!

love u all...

FOLLOW ME - BREAKING BENJAMIN

I'm losing sight
don't count on me
I chase the sun
it chases me
You know my name
you know my face
you'd know my heart
if you knew my place
I walked straight down
as far as I can go

I follow you,
you follow me
I don't know why
you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony

Enlighten me
reveal my fate
just cut these strings
that hold me safe
You know my head
you know my face
you'd know my heart
if you knew your place
I walked straight down
as far as I can go

I follow you
you follow me
I don't know why
you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony

Cure this wait
I hate this wait
I hate this wait

I follow you
you follow me
I don't know why
you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony
I don't know why, I don't know why
I follow you
if you follow me
I don't know why
you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony

WHEN YOU LOOK ME IN THE EYES

If the heart is always searching,
Can you ever find a home?
I've been looking for that someone,
I'll never make it on my own.
Dreams can't take the place of loving you,
There's gotta be a million reasons why it's true

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

How long will I be waiting,
To be with you again
Gonna tell you that I love you,
In the best way that I can.
I can't take a day without you here,
You're the light that makes my darkness disappear.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

More and more, I start to realize,
I can reach my tomorrow,
I can hold my head high,
And it's all because you're by my side.

When you look me in the eyes,
And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When I hold you in my arms
I know that it's forever
I just gotta let you know
I never wanna let you go

Cause when you look me in the eyes.

And tell me that you love me.
Everything's alright,
When you're right here by my side.
When you look me in the eyes,
I catch a glimpse of heaven.
I find my paradise,
When you look me in the eyes.

“It was just a passing remark, the first time I heard Arpad Bogdan talk about the Roma father who had left him in an orphanage, and wonder if he should try to find him.”

Arpad is a much-garlanded young film director, whose feature film Happy New Life has won many awards. It is about a young Roma man's unbearable childhood in an orphanage. In the end, he can't hack it - unlike Arpad who emerged from his own orphanage into the University of Pecs and a promising film career.

He meets a brother, Laszlo, he had never met. He learns their mother is dead. And finally, he meets his ragged, handsome dad. A new young wife hangs back, in the shadows of the garden. Some 40 dogs bark and make our film crew nervous. And then his dad smiles, and extends a hand, and says, "Which one are you?" He's so charming, it is impossible to take it the wrong way.

"I looked at my father, into his eyes, and I suddenly felt myself forgiving him. I let him go, along with all the bad things I used to blame him for," he says.

"After that, I could see him for what he is, I could listen to him. Whether I'll see my father again, well maybe I will, but definitely not on my own. I will have to take someone with me, someone from my own life."

As a conclusion,仡onflict is the human condition. This young man will have to fight his way through the world just as we all must, and his success or failure is not assured. How he sees himself, his belief in his own life and self worth, will dictate the outcome of his story. He has friends, that is a very good start.

I have been wondering what is mineral make-up that turn out to be cosmetic worlds latest miracle all about. It's metallic-sounding,unbeliveable people would like to slap it on face. But there are still lot of ladies go for it.Finally it found all the answers on an article in newspaper...

Actually it's not new,the ancient Egyptians used a cosmetic called mesdecent made of copper and lead ore to colour their eye.Yet,the technology in processing the minerals has improved over the last five years. This means that the texture and colour ranges are much better.

In addition,it cause no harm to our skin.First up, the ingredients, say dermatologists and beauty gurus: Titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, iron oxides and mica - mined from the earth and finely crushed and milled - have natural sunblock and skin-soothing properties.

They do not contain chemical preservatives, dye, oils or fragrances, which are common skin irritants. So, they are the dermatologist's choice for people with sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Patients who have undergone treatments like laser treatments, microdermabrasion or chemical peels may also be asked to switch to mineral make-up.

Dr Jean Ho, associate consultant dermatologist at the National Skin Centre, says: ‘Mineral make-up is inert, so it won't react with the skin and cause sensitisation or irritation. So, It's recommended to individuals with sensitive skin or who are allergic to chemicals.'

And because the mineral particles are large enough to sit on the surface of the skin, mineral make-up won't clog pores.

Unlike the older formulations of mineral make-up had an ashy undertone, which could make users look washed out and, worse, grimy.

I think it's really a great discovery! We can beatified ourselve with makeup and instead of affect our health of skin but protect our skin at the same time.

Yahooooo!girl,let's try it out!

MOre about STAR...
"The stars at night"

If you look at the stars on a clear night, you will notice that they seem to twinkle and that they differ greatly in brightness. A much slower movement also takes place in the night sky: If you map the location of several stars for a few hours, you will observe that all the stars revolve slowly about a single point in the sky.

Twinkling of stars is caused by movements in Earth's atmosphere. Starlight enters the atmosphere as straight rays. Twinkling occurs because air movements constantly change the path of the light as it comes through the air. You can see a similar effect if you stand in a swimming pool and look down. Unless the water is almost perfectly still, your feet will appear to move and change their shape. This "twinkling" occurs because the moving water constantly changes the path of the light rays that travel from your feet to your eyes.

Brightness of stars. How bright a star looks when viewed from Earth depends on two factors: (1) the actual brightness of the star -- that is, the amount of light energy the star emits (sends out) -- and (2) the distance from Earth to the star. A nearby star that is actually dim can appear brighter than a distant star that is really extremely brilliant. For example, Alpha Centauri A seems to be slightly brighter than a star known as Rigel. But Alpha Centauri A emits only 1/100,000 as much light energy as Rigel. Alpha Centauri A seems brighter because it is only 1/325 as far from Earth as Rigel is -- 4.4 light-years for Alpha Centauri A, 1,400 light-years for Rigel.

The chelsea football club is the one of the richest club in English Premier League (EPL).....

Chelsea will be desperate to regain the Premier League crown after finishing second to Manchester United in the last two seasons. Former manager Jose Mourinho, bankrolled by owner Roman Abromovich's millions, brought the first title to Stamford Bridge for 50 years when the Blues lifted the trophy in 2005. Chelsea became only the second team to win back-to-back Premier League titles when they clinched it a year later. Mourinho left the club by mutual consent in September 2007.

Although Chelsea reached the FA Cup final in 1994, they hardly set the world alight in their early Premier League days. Ruud Gullit became manager in 1996 and steered the Blues to an FA Cup triumph in 1997, while his successor Gianluca Vialli guided the team to victory in the League Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup in 1998.

Shortly after, he led the team to the UEFA Super Cup after a 1-0 win over Real Madrid. The FA Cup followed in 2000. Vialli was replaced by Claudio Ranieri in 2000 and he led Chelsea to another FA Cup final appearance in 2002.

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich bought the Blues for £140 million. After a trophyless season, he appointed Mourinho as new Chelsea manager and there was instant success. In 2005, Chelsea won the Barclays Premiership and League Cup, along with a Champions League semi-final appearance.

And Mourinho retained the Barclays Premiership crown the year after, equalling the club's own Premier League record of 29 wins set the previous season. They were league runners-up in 2006/07 and also claimed the FA Cup and League Cup double.

They were also runners-up in the 2007/08 campaign, but by this time Mourinho had left the club. He was replaced by Avram Grant who led the Blues to the final of the Champions League and Carling Cup.

Grant left Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and was replaced by Luiz Felipe Scolari who will be charged with bringing the title back to the club.

Club Heritage

Chelsea were formed in 1905 and were elected into the Second Division of the Football League. They just missed out on silverware 10 years later with an FA Cup final defeat. The Blues had to wait for their first major trophy in 1955, when under manager Ted Drake, they won the league title. Chelsea claimed the League Cup for the first time in 1965 and were defeated in the FA Cup final two years later.

Featuring the likes of Ron 'Chopper' Harris, Ian Hutchison and Peter Osgood, Chelsea overcame Leeds to win the FA Cup in 1970. In the following season, they clinched the European Cup Winners' Cup with a replay victory over Real Madrid.

Financial problems meant the Stamford Bridge club dropped into the Second Division, and at one point they were close to falling to the Third Division.

They eventually won their place back in the top flight in 1984, but their stay only lasted four seasons. They clawed their way back to the First Division again as Second Division champions in 1989 and have remained there ever since.

Premier League History

1992/93 - Inaugural members of the Premier League

1993/94 - Lose FA Cup final

1996/97 - Ruud Gullit appointed player-manger

1996/97 - Win FA Cup

1997/98 - Gianluca Vialli becomes manager

1997/98 - Win League Cup, Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Super Cup

1999/00 - FA Cup winners

2000/01 - Claudio Ranieri becomes manager

2001/02 - Lose FA Cup final

2003/04 - Chairman Ken Bates sells Chelsea to Roman Abramovich

2000/05 - Jose Mourinho takes over as manager

2004/05 - Chelsea win Barclays Premiership and League Cup

2005/06 - Chelsea win Barclays Premiership

2006/07 - Win FA Cup and League Cup

2007/08 - Jose Mourinho leaves the club to be replaced by Avram Grant. Runners up in the Carling Cup, Barclays Premier League and Champions League. Part company with Grant. Luiz Felipe Scolari appointed manager in June.

Assalamualaikum
The Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF) have called on the National Sports Council (NSC) to work together in building a strong national team.

MHF deputy president Tunku Abdul Majid Idris said yesterday that there have been cases where the needs of the team have not been given due consideration with budget cuts being the main excuse.

He said the MHF welcomed whole heartedly the NSC’s attempt to help them in the team building process but felt that it should be a hand-in-hand effort.

“I will propose that there be more working committee meetings between the two sides so that we can iron out all teething problems immediately,” said Tunku Majid.“We are very happy that the NSC are helping us with the funding and have taken steps to see that the national team grow stronger. But work with us.

“We need to know what their plans are and at the same time we will keep them informed about our programmes.

“Only then we can reach our objective and at the same time ensure there is no wastage of funds through duplication of programmes.”

Tunku Majid said this after naming the 18 players for the German Hamburg Masters which will be held from Oct 3-5.

Apart from Malaysia and hosts Germany the other teams are Pakistan and Belgium.

Tunku Majid said sending the team to Germany was an example of where the team’s needs are being ignored.

“We had requested to the NSC to let the team leave on Sept 29 so that they can play one warm-up match before the tournament proper. But they booked flights out on Sept 30 which means the team cannot play any friendly,” he pointed out.

“The request was for one extra day as the expenses from Oct 2 onwards is covered by the host.”

“Similarly the NSC had said that we can use German Paul Lissek’s expertise but when we get him to accompany the team, we were told there was no budget for an extra official.

“Let us be prudent where we can but not at the expense of the team’s need.

“There are areas where we can save and it more important that we look into this aspect together.”

The MHF will appeal to the NSC to allow the team to go a day earlier.

Meanwhile, there was no surprise when the team was announced yesterday.

Five players, currently playing in league overseas have been included in the team. They are Chua Boon Huat (New Zealand), S. Selvaraju, C. Baljit Singh (both in Germany), Jivan Mohan and Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin (Holland).Thank you

i want to share a story title evolution of affair."A self-reliant Westerner chances to meet an intriguing stranger whom she perceives as radiating an aura of danger. Seduced into becoming the mistress of Julian Rakoczy, Mercedes discovers that he intuitively divines her need for the added stimulation which pain inflicted by an expert master confers. Sensing that her lover understands her as no one ever has, cognizant that this sometimes cruel partner reaches depths in her nature hitherto never plumbed, this natural hedonist learns to place an astonishing degree of trust in a man who relentlessly increases the demands he makes while raising her to unprecedented heights of pleasure.Caught in a dilemma, Julian succumbs to an irresistible urge to bring Mercedes as his guest when he attends the yearly gathering of fellow members of the Order of the Black Lily. Well aware that his cherished companion lacks the training which he knows he ought to have conducted during a rigorous initiation period, he gambles that Mercedes' craving for the pain he inflicts, combined with his conducting an abbreviated introduction to the erotic arts practiced by members of the Order, will suffice to prevent his suffering the disgrace that would ensue should she rebel in the presence of his peers.Exposed to a culture radically different from her own, Mercedes adapts with remarkable readiness, even as she battles fears arising from her ignorance of Julian's past. As the week progresses, the woman voluntarily offering herself more and more fully to the master handling a sturdily independent-minded novice with delicate care and surpassing skill, achieves a relationship with her lover that proves to be unique in the annals of the Order.

i think i wanna share something with u all...break the routine..break the habit...didn't undestand..?read this out....

Dad told me something the other day. He is so good at telling me things out of the blue. So his talent. As if these things just down out of nowhere into his head...he he. I just hope it wasn’t bird droppings though.

He told me how he got me to get rid of my pacifier and pillow when I was four years old. I used to love both of them. They were like my good friends from the day I was born. They were both well used and wore out especially the pillow. It looked more like an old rag filled with some soft lumpy thingy....he he.

Dad said I looked like the baby in Simpsons. Never seen without the pacifier. I called my pacifier, chuop chuop, the sound I made when I sucked on it. He he. Dad took me to a seaside resort for a weekend. Soon after we got there....

Daddi, whear my chuop chuop?
Aiyah! (big dramatic expression) sorli, daddi forgot to bring
But, i wan myz chuop chuop wor....
we go schwim schwim pray pray now, then we buy a new one, ok?
Ok, daddi

My dad was very good at baby talk when I was young. Sometimes he was more me than me...ha ha..

Then, we went diving into the hotel pool; then, we dug out the beach for sand castling; then, we cleaned up the buffet table in the restaurant for lunch; then, we teamed up for Daytona Race at the video arcade; then, we hopped onto the tiny bouncing castle; then, we drove back into the pool; then, we dug into green tea ice cream at the poolside bar; then, we sat down for the children magic show; then, I cried because the clown was more scary than funny; then, it was free balloons time from the clown; then, I cried again because the clown looked even scarier than before..............and just before bed time.....

Daddi, whear my pilyow?
OH! (more dramatic expression) sorli, pilyow at home
But, i wan myz pilyow wor...
Ok, we go get your pilyow now
Ok
But, we go home, tomolo how to schwim schwim on the beach?
Daddi, I no need pilyow oleidi.........
Ok, I read story book to you so you can scheep scheep ok?
Z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z z......

Dad said, after that weekend at the resort, I never asked for my pacifier and pillow.

He said that; Habits are formed by routine. Break the routine, you break the habits.

for me...it was so hard if u wanna break something u do in daily..if that gurl with her pillow...my brother with his milk's bottle...haha...i remember when my father refuse to give that bottle to my brother...he cry...throw all the things..so terrible...so my father have to get his attention from being thingking about the bottle...he bought sweets...toys...but still not working...my brother still want that bottle....so wat my father did was he throw the bottle from my house...in front of my brother..looks cruel right..if my dad didn't do that afraid that he will drink milk in bottle in a long time...from level 10 to the ground...quite high to break that bottle...so no more bottle anymore... so...for me..to braek the routine it takes time..we have to think the ways to break the routine so we can break the habits...

SRELEASING TIPSIX STRESS

Exercise: even if you go for a walk for 15-25 minutes four days a week it will help your body to get rid of adrenaline and produce endorphins (a natural tranquilizer). Not to mention you will not only feel better, you will also look the part.

Yoga: Many ramble that practicing yoga is the best way to manage or release stress. It focuses on breathing techniques, exercises, connecting with the universe on a spiritual and mental level. If this option seems interesting to you I suggest you do some research in order to learn the principles and decide if it is for you.

Stretch: People often stretch before and after a workout. However, learning stretching and flexing exercises to use as a way to relieve tension on many different areas of the body can help a great deal.

Massage: We all know how massages can help us relax and release tension. Prices start around $40 for 30 minutes; it all depends on what extra relaxation techniques you would like to add to the massage such as aromatherapy, oils, etc. There are also different types of massages so this will also affect the price. I actually found a therapist that charges $33 for a 30 minute session. It sounds pretty good to me. We waste money in so many different ways so investing on a massage once in a while will not kill our pockets.

Laugh it off: Rent a funny movie and laugh out loud. Go out with friends or host gatherings. Tell everyone to bring a platter. Remember the key is to release tension not, add to it. Use paper plates and plastic cups to reduce the amount of work.

Take a break- Take time to relax, sleep, and maybe even take a vacation if you can. Your body does not only need it; you deserve it.

Live stress free,

Dog saves owner, but robber dies from injuries

TAMPIN: A dog lived up to its reputation as being man's best friend when it attacked a robber who got into a fight with its owner at Taman Asahan in Gemenceh yesterday morning.

But the dog and its owner may now be in trouble with the law after the robber died of his injuries at the Tampin Hospital several hours after he was attacked.

The dog owner, a 45-year-old security guard, has been detained by police to facilitate investigations, while the 3-year-old German Shepherd has gone missing,

The drama unfolded just after midnight yesterday when the suspected robber, armed with what is believed to be a piece of wood, confronted the guard, who was on duty at a shop selling construction material.

A struggle ensued between the two, and that was when the dog came to the rescue of its owner.

District police chief Superintendent Zull Aznam Haron said that the guard was believed to have been struck on the head in the struggle.

He managed to stop a passing motorist who took him to the Gemenceh police station, where he lodged a report. The dog, meanwhile, was left behind.

"The guard's face was covered in blood when he turned up at the police station," said Zull Aznam.

"He was taken to the Gemenceh health clinic where he received stitches for the wound on his head."

Zull Aznam said a police team went to the scene and found the suspect sprawled in front of the shop with injuries all over his body.

"When we found the suspect, he was still alive. He succumbed to his injuries at the Tampin district hospital an hour later."

He said the suspect's body was later sent to the Seremban Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Initial checks revealed that the 29-year-old suspect was from Tebung in Alor Gajah, Malacca.

Assalamualaikum.......
hi everyone....

Recently, i have read The New Straits Time news. The title is `Close call for two as concrete falls on cars'.

The news story about two motorists cheated death after small chunks of concrete from Pillar 28 of the Middle Ring Road 2 flyover hit the roof of their cars. The two were heading towards Batu Caves from Sungai Buloh.

A witness, RapidKL bus attendant Zainuddin Mohamad Taib, said he saw chunks of plaster from Pillar 28 hitting the roofs of the cars. The drivers were lucky as they immediately moved over to the side of the highway to check their cars.

The 37-year-old said he was aware of cracks on one of the pillars.

Another witness, lorry driver Sundar Kandarsamy, 30, said the cracks were quite visible.

"Somebody could be killed if the pillar gives way."

Motorist Tan Shing, who uses the MRR2 daily, said he was fed up with the situation.
"This is the third time. It is an inconvenience to everyone because the congestion is terrible," he said.

let read this story.....

Like the other,i also read something
interisting..

It is about the writer of the book that title The Art Of War..
Even i not end my reading this book, but i get some information about this book..
The Art of War is said to have been penned by Sun Tzu and was originally called the Sun Tzu Ping Fa (Pinyin: Sunzi Bingfa), or simply the Sun Tzu. It presents a complete philosophy of war for managing conflicts and winning clear victories. Contrary to popular perceptions, it contains not only the writing of the original author, but also commentary and clarifications from later military philosophers, such as Li Ch'uan and Tu Mu. It is widely accepted as a masterpiece on strategy and has been referenced by generals and theorists throughout history.

The reason i read this book, because the new manager of chelsea,Luiz Felipe Scolari always gave this book to their player to get the inspiration from this book..

LIFESTYLE

The term lifestyle was originally coined by Austrian psychologist Alfred Adler in 1929. The current broader sense of the word dates from 1961.

In sociology, a lifestyle is the way a person lives. A lifestyle is a characteristic bundle of behaviors that makes sense to both others and oneself in a given time and place, including social relations, consumption, entertainment, and dress. The behaviors and practices within lifestyles are a mixture of habits, conventional ways of doing things, and reasoned actions. A lifestyle typically also reflects an individual's attitudes, values or worldview. Therefore, a lifestyle is a means of forging a sense of self and to create cultural symbols that resonate with personal identity. Not all aspects of a lifestyle are entirely voluntaristic. Surrounding social and technical systems can constrain the lifestyle choices available to the individual and the symbols she/he is able to project to others and the self.

The lines between personal identity and the everyday doings that signal a particular lifestyle become blurred in modern society. For example, "green lifestyle" means holding beliefs and engaging in activities that consume fewer resources and produce less harmful waste (i.e. a smaller carbon footprint), and deriving a sense of self from holding these beliefs and engaging in these activities. Some commentators argue that, in Modernity, the cornerstone of lifestyle construction is consumption behavior, which offers the possibility to create and further individualize the self with different products or services that signal different ways of life
