P.R.E.S.E.N.T your steps to becoming an EFFECTIVE presenter

Hi people!
Aah, you've already survived the second week but the best is yet to come. Remember, you are on your way to becoming EFFECTIVE presenters! Put on your brave face and push away negative thoughts!

Anyway, as a group, you have discussed:
(1) the difference between an experienced and inexperienced public speaker
(2) why people are afraid to speak in public

and you have:
(3) supported your answers with your own experiences

Some of you have experience that dates back to Standard 3! Look how confident you are now! :)

Then you were asked to come up with your own steps using the word PRESENT.

Instructions:
ALL SECTIONS POST COMMENT HERE!
Share with us your discussion as well as the steps to becoming an effective presenter.

Write it in the comment section together with your SECTION, GROUP NAME and GROUP MEMBERS' NAMES.
Note, this is NOT an individual assignment. Once you have done this, you can work on the OVERCOMING STAGE FRIGHT post, if you haven't already.

Do highlight in your post any other interesting links that you have come across.

Thank you and have a great weekend this week!

I would say that to be an effective presenter,we need to stay focus on the topic that we would like to present.it is not for the sake of just talking but we also need to think what is the next word we need to voice out.our appearance also plays a major role as its reflex our personality.it is the first impression of us.(farah ae08014)

In my group, we had discuss the difference between an experienced and inexperience public speaker!

Our conclusion is, experienced speakers doesnt mean that they can deliver their message clearly! And inexperience speakers also doesnt mean that they cannot give a fantastic speech!
People afraid to speak in public is just because they are afraid of making mistakes!

What is an effective presentation?
P- Posture
R- Rehearse
E- Effective(points)
S- Simple(straight to points)
E- Eye Contact
N- Natural
T- Tone

PRESENT?what it's mean?My lecturer ask us to create an acronym for the word PRESENT.
Before we create the acronym,we are being given explanation on experience and inexperience presenter

besides that,we had discuss about why people scared about public speaking?in my group,we had find out many reason such as low self esteem, low self-confidence,bad experience, diffuclt to grab the attention from audience and lack of knowledge.

finally,my lecturer asked us to list down the steps to becoming an effective presenter by using acronym in the word present.below is our result:

P-Personality is important
R-Read more to get knowledge
E-xpression and Explore
S-Stay confident
E-Experiences is the main key
N-Not to be so shy
T -Think positively and take it
easy

a week later,we had watch the video which showed a best presenter.after watched the video,we were asked to change or maintain the acronym. After my group and I dissucssed,we had changed a few words. This is the result of my group.

P-Personality is cruicial
R-Respect,Responds and Relax
E-Expression and Explore
S-Stay confident
E-Experiences is the main key
N-No,no,no ooopsss
T-Try to vary your tone

We did the changes because we think, this is the best way to becoming an effective presenter.

Thank You
