Speed Talk P09 and P10's Wall: Unload here!

Hi and Salaam people!
If this is your first experience doing Speed Talk, what do you think about it? Do you like this activity?

So, what was your question? What were your own thoughts on that topic? And out of all the opinions your friends gave you, which answer did you like most and why?

When we swapped roles, and you were on the receiving end, which question was most interesting to you? Why?

SNOWBALL FIGHT!
On the first day of class, it's the all important get to know each other session, as well as getting to know the lecturer and course.

Technical English is all about Presentation Skills, Technical Description and Process Explanation.

1) What kind of Technical Description did you give about yourself that allowed others to recognise you?
2) Who found you?
3) What question were you asked?
4) Who did you find?
5) What was the description given and was he/she easy to find?
6) What was your question and what was the answer you received?
7) What did you think of the activity?
8) What was something you learned in class that day? I think this topic is self explanatory. Basically discuss what you learned in class regardless if it has anything to do with English or not. E.g. Today I learned that there's no such thing as a stupid question....

Another new beginning

Dear all,
This is a note of welcome to usher the new semester and new students of UMP into the big, delightful world of UHL 2312 Technical English.

This is your first semester and the beginning of a new journey which you determine the end from the choices you make. I always ask my students the reason they come to UMP, whether voluntarily or simply because, they have no other choice. Use the four years wisely developing yourselves as this is YOUR journey of self discovery, where you discover your strengths, your interests, your skills, and so much more. Might even discover your future life partner here though I wouldn't put so much emphasis on that. :-)

That, is just a bonus. You won't die not having a boyfriend or girlfriend. And having one can either make or break you. Some people have successful constructive relationships where they inspire each other to excellence and some people have failed relationships, move on and learn from them, while others attempt at suicide.

As I said, it's during these four years you learn who you are and what you are made of. I hope UHL 2312 will have a hand in that process and help you develop yourself so you can bloom fully. Nobody can mistake a rose no matter what it's called.

Therefore it is my wish you enjoy yourself as much as you can while soaking in what UHL 2312 has to offer.

Thank you.
