Reading Entries for March P13

Ooh, wow! How fast time flies! It's now March and soon, the semester will be over, but not without some pain. You guys heard it before, "No pain, no gain!"

Remember, your proposal is due this week. Then be ready to make that invention happen before you can present it to the the world. In between, there's your progress report some time in week 12.

Okay, and for those still unclear on what you need to do when you see this "Reading Entries" heading, here's what you need to do:

  1. Read anything you like. It could be a book, a short story, a poem, an article in a magazine, or from your nasi lemak wrapper, or an online article, information off a cereal box, anything - but the reading materials have got to be in English.
  2. Then, go to your own blog or this one, whichever first is okay, and share with us the following info: (a) what you read (b) where you read it from - e.g., if it's from a magazine, state the article title, name of magazine and page of article and if it's an online article, share the link. You may copy and paste the article but that should not be the only content of your blog entry. (c) what you thought about the article - i.e., whether you liked it or not and why OR (d) what the article reminded you of OR (e) a summary of the article OR (f) all c, d and e.
  3. Sign off with your name, matric number and section.
  4. Then after you have posted your entry, copy and paste what you've written into the other blog depending on which blog you went to first. If you have no blog of your own, then you just need to come here to post your comments.

Okay? Any questions, ask me when you see me. :) By the way, for the reading entries, you may post as many entries as you like. There's no limit. It all depends on how much you've read and how much you'd like to share with us.

do you know about cake?
Cake is a form of food that is usually sweet and often baked. Cakes normally combine some kind of flour, a sweetening agent (commonly sugar), a binding agent (generally egg, though gluten or starch are often used by vegetarians and vegans), fats (usually butter, shortening, or margarine, although a fruit purée such as applesauce is sometimes substituted to avoid using fat), a liquid (milk, water or fruit juice), flavors and some form of leavening agent (such as yeast or baking powder), though many cakes lack these ingredients and instead rely on air bubbles in the dough to expand and cause the cake to rise. Cake is often frosted with buttercream or marzipan, and finished with piped borders and crystallized fruit.

Cake is often the dessert of choice for meals at ceremonial occasions, particularly weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. There are countless cake recipes; some are bread-like, some rich and elaborate and many are centuries old. Cake making is no longer a complicated procedure; while at one time considerable labor went into cake making (particularly the whisking of egg foams), baking equipment and directions have been simplified that even the most amateur cook may bake a cake.
everyone like cake ...ilike cake.can can make someone hapy and lost their sad.

do you know how mostly songs are judged?
people often judge a song by their genre .as an example when the comes with the rock genre, there are already words pumped out saying things about unmorality of those kind of song .but actually what the song contents are the most important one. what the singer try to evaluate to their listeners. what I am trying to say here is that to judge so quickly before even do it a try, a check etcetera. Let me give you a simple example here. Avenge sevenfold. One of my favourite band. As i was saying before, this band carries the image of a rock band. So in our culture, they often having trouble in early misunderstanding. Even though Avenge sevenfold does sing like a hell of a singer, but if you listen carefully there you might noticed something. They are singing about society. About the surroundings of people, about individual behavior that much can be learned of.Its like an education but just in a different way. Not just them, buit also other typical kind of band all over the world speacially Malaysia. So! How about doing a mind setting right now. Try to give music a life by giving chance not punishment. Who knows what might happen. World out there is full of something we would never able to figure out all.

this opinion was written by my friend and i translated it into english and put up a new example.
thank you.

i want t share about pillow..
A pillow is a large cushion support for the head, usually used while sleeping in a bed, or for the body as used on a couch or chair. There are also throw pillows (also called toss pillows), which are pillows that are purely decorative and not designed for support or comfort. Outside the USA these are generally considered a type of cushion, with the term pillow reserved for the pillows on a bed. Pillows are usually very soft and comfortable. Many people use them while they sleep.every one love pillow because the pillow make the sleepng well n have a nice dream.

do you like babies?
guess so..but like is not much needed in order to own one hahahaha...
heres some tip for taking care of a new born babies i read on the internet..

Here are some baby care tips for first time parents

•A mother has to take adequate care of the baby in order to ensure its proper development.
•A new parent is anxious about arriving at the precise baby feeding plan and frequently tries to find a guide.
•Numerous new parents are not sure about the number of times they should be feeding their babies, and often they come across contradictory suggestion and information.
•It is important to remember that one should feed one’s baby every time he or she is hungry.
•Babies require regular feedings and the majority of guidelines recommend that a newborn requires food approximately every two to three hours initially during 24 hours a day.
It’s sensible to follow the suggestions of experts who insist that it is advisable to keep the baby in the mother’s room. The major problem with breastfeeding or bottle feeding ones baby may be the consequence that constant nursing has on the sleeping program of the mother. Night feeding can be less troublesome if the baby is kept in close proximity with the mother. This can be done by either positioning the crib next to the mother’s bed or shifting the baby into the bed of the mother. This will enable the mother to take proper care of the baby when she wakes up hungry and the mother can look after the baby without even having to be totally awake herself.

so? what do you think? easy isnt it?
yeah right...
thank you

orchids to be exact...
heres some of my reading about orchids.make use of it!!!

Orchidaceae (or Orchid family) is the largest family of the flowering plants (Angiospermae). Its name is derived from the genus Orchis.

The Royal Botanical Gardens of Kew list 880 genera and nearly 22,000 accepted species, but the exact number is unknown (perhaps as many as 25,000)[3] because of taxonomic disputes. The number of orchid species equals about four times the number of mammal species, or more than twice the number of bird species. It also encompasses about 6–11% of all seed plants.[4] About 800 new orchid species are added each year. The largest genera are Bulbophyllum (2,000 species), Epidendrum (1,500 species), Dendrobium (1,400 species) and Pleurothallis (1,000 species). The family also includes the Vanilla (the genus of the vanilla plant), Orchis (type genus) and many commonly cultivated plants like some Phalaenopsis or Cattleya.

Moreover, since the introduction of tropical species in the 19th century, horticulturists have more than 100,000 hybrids and cultivars

i want to tell you about coffee..
Coffee is a brewed beverage prepared from roasted seeds, commonly called coffee beans, of the coffee plant. Due to its caffeine content, coffee has a stimulating effect in humans. Today, coffee is one of the most popular beverages worldwide.

Coffee was first consumed in the ninth century, when it was discovered in the highlands of Ethiopia. From there, it spread to Egypt and Yemen, and by the 15th century, had reached Azerbaijan, Persia, Turkey, and northern Africa. From the Muslim world, coffee spread to Italy, then to the rest of Europe, to Indonesia, and to the Americas.

Coffee berries, which contain the coffee bean, are produced by several species of small evergreen bush of the genus Coffea. The two most commonly grown species are Coffea canephora (also known as Coffea robusta) and Coffea arabica. These are cultivated in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Africa. Once ripe, coffee berries are picked, processed, and dried. The seeds are then roasted, undergoing several physical and chemical changes. They are roasted to varying degrees, depending on the desired flavor. They are then ground and brewed to create coffee. Coffee can be prepared and presented in a variety of ways.

Coffee has played an important role in many societies throughout modern history. In Africa and Yemen, it was used in religious ceremonies. As a result, the Ethiopian Church banned its secular consumption until the reign of Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia. It was banned in Ottoman Turkey in the 17th century for political reasons, and was associated with rebellious political activities in Europe.

Coffee is an important export commodity. In 2004, coffee was the top agricultural export for 12 countries, and in 2005, it was the world's seventh-largest legal agricultural export by value.

Some controversy is associated with coffee cultivation and its impact on the environment. Many studies have examined the relationship between coffee consumption and certain medical conditions; whether the overall effects of coffee are positive or negative is still disputed.
i think that coffee available to stay up coz it make the people hard to sleep...

Hello everybody,

Do You Know what is Easter?

Easter, like the spring season it graces, is associated with birth, renewal and fertility.

Easter marks the Resurrection of Jesus three days after his Crucifixion. Sandwiched between the 40 preparatory days of Lenten penitence and the seven weeks of Eastertide, it is the most important and most joyous holiday on the Christian calendar.

Easter is celebrated in this month (April).

In a few days the christian,s will celebrated Easter.

Easter Sunday is the Sunday following the Paschal Full Moon (PFM) date for the year

If i am not mistaken Easter is held on 12 April this year. Good friday is held on 10 April this year.

I will like to wish good friday and happy easter to those who celebrated it.

ComPutEr gIvEs OuT HazArdOus GaS???

Some people are highly sensitive to the gasses given off by computers. One source of this 'gas' is the plastic components; most plastics are unstable and break down naturally over time, especially when exposed to ultraviolet light and sunlight. (That's why they turn yellow and brittle.) The gasses given off by this breakdown are called 'out-gassing' and only occur in small amounts. But when the equipment is new, the out-gassing is much greater and noticeable even to people who aren't particularly sensitive. We all know what a new car smells like. That smell is out-gassing from the vinyl, plastic carpet and hard plastic interiors, as well as the wiring. A new computer has a similar smell.

People who have been sensitized (by previous exposure to plastic solvents) may react to even small amounts of this gas by getting headaches, dizziness, and respiratory problems, etc. I've been told that chips and printed circuits use mercury-based compounds which give off a gas when current flows through them. So, work with good ventilation.

One sensitized friend kept her new computer in the garage for four months, turned on, with the fans blowing, to reduce the out-gassing before she used it. Her reaction has subsided. If you try this, you may as well run a diagnostic 'soak' test at the same time. In addition to airing out the worst of the various manufacturing compounds, you will find out if an electronic component is going to fail, because it will usually do so in the first week of continuous use. That's what the 90-day warranty is for.

so burn it in!!! hehehe PeaCe

Feral mouse

A mouse (plural mice) is a small mammal belonging to the order of rodents. The best known mouse species is the common house mouse (Mus musculus). It is also a popular pet. The American white-footed mouse (Peromyscus leucopus) and the deer mouse (Peromyscus maniculatus) also sometimes live in houses.

Although mice may live up to two and a half years in captivity, the average mouse in the wild lives only about four months,[citation needed] primarily owing to heavy predation. Cats, wild dogs, foxes, birds of prey, snakes and even certain kinds of insects have been known to prey heavily upon mice. Nevertheless, because of its remarkable adaptability to almost any environment, and its ability to live commensally with humans, the mouse is regarded to be the second most successful mammalian genus living on Earth today, after humans.

Mice can at times be harmful pests, damaging and eating crops and spreading diseases through their parasites and feces. In western North America, breathing dust that has come in contact with mouse feces has been linked to the deadly hantavirus.[citation needed]. The original motivation for the domestication of cats is thought to have been for their predation of mice and their relatives, the rats.the mouse very cute and some of the people like to raise the mouse because they think that the mouse is cute .

WOMAN "HATE" ABOUT MAN

The relationship between men and women has always been a love-hate type. This article will describe what a woman finds most annoying in her partner.
Though women publicly admit that they like men who are strong, secretly they like a man on whom she can wield certain amount of power.
It is also likely (majority of the times) that a woman would not like a person who would show insensitivity towards her feelings. This is a mistake that many men make and women do not like this attitude from them. There are many other factors that women generally do not like in men such as arrogance, lies, submissive behavior, etc. Never ever show a woman that you have a weak character. This is one of the traits that women dislike in a man. It is a mistake that many men make by making a woman feel that he is ready to fall at her feet. Contrary to a man thinking that a woman would appreciate it, women get annoyed with men who are too submissive and ready to do anything for her. This does not mean that a woman does not want a sensitive man who is open about his feelings, but it does mean that a woman still wants a man to be his own person, think for himself and claim what he wants from a relationship.
A woman always likes a man who has a big heart and ready to share and care. A self-centered man is rarely loved by women and more often than not will crave for female company.
Manipulative attitude is something that women dislike in a man. Hence, try to be as open in your behavior as possible and at the same time do not fall prey if she displays manipulative behavior. Keeping these points in mind, you can win over a woman. Remember that love blossoms slowly and you need to give your woman time and space if you really want to win her over..

ever heard of Ritchie Valens? for those who havent, let me assist you..

American singer, songwriter and guitarist.

A rock and roll pioneer and a forefather of the Chicano rock movement, Valens' recording career lasted only eight months. During this time, however, he scored several hits, most notably "La Bamba", which was originally a Mexican folk song that Valens transformed with a rock rhythm and beat that became a hit in 1958,making Valens a pioneer of the Spanish-speaking rock and roll movement.

On February 3, 1959, on what has become known as The Day the Music Died, Valens was killed in a small-plane crash in Iowa, a tragedy that also claimed the lives of fellow musicians Buddy Holly and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson.

ritchie can called a hero in his world of music. He has a guitar and only knows a few chords, his singing were based all from those codes. He never write his own song. All the song he sang were just be there. It just come and go.Thats the biggest talent a man would ever had.In the age of 18, his song had been a hit and concert demand were very high.
one of my favourite was donna and malaguena. But malaguena was never been recorded succesfully,so if you hear it anywhere either its just a copy play or the editting process of the song made by Ritchie's manager.
Ritchie comes from a broken family and were raised under clouds of poverty.Still he had succesfully fulfil his dream. He is a legend that was the first to bring la bamba a folk singing to united states.

so,why not take one thing or two from his great achievement as an example..lalala

What is nutrition??

Nutrition is between the extremes of optimal health and death from starvation or malnutrition, there is an array of disease states that can be caused or alleviated by changes in diet. Deficiencies, excesses and imbalances in diet can produce negative impacts on health, which may lead to diseases such as scurvy, obesity or osteoporosis, as well as psychological and behavioral problems. The science of nutrition attempts to understand how and why specific dietary aspects influence health.

Nutrients in food are grouped into several categories. Macronutrients means fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Micronutrients are the minerals and vitamins. Additionally food contains water and dietary fiber.

Antarctic "Telescopes" Look for Cosmic Rays

Associate professor of physics, Greg Sullivan leads the university's participation in IceCube, a neutrino "telescope" made of a cubic kilometer of clear Antarctic ice embedded with optical sensors that will look up through the Earth to detect cosmic neutrinos coming from beyond our galaxy. Cosmic neutrinos are extremely high energy subatomic particles, like protons and electrons, but neutrinos have no electrical charge. Neutrinos are produced by the decay of radioactive elements and elementary particles The NSF-supported IceCube collaboration will search for neutrinos from the most violent and powerful cosmic sources: exploding stars (hypernova) thought to produce intense bursts of gamma rays and giant black holes (Active Galactic Nuclei) that are found at the center of galaxies.

IceCube will begin providing significant data in 2006 and be completed in 2010. This research project will be a powerful tool in the search for answers to unsolved questions in physics and cosmology, such as the origin of cosmic rays and the nature of dark matter. In addition to Sullivan, the Maryland team includes assistant professor Kara Hoffman and professor and department chair Jordan Goodman

have u ever heard of cyclone?
In meteorology, a cyclone refers to an area of closed, circular fluid motion rotating in the same direction as the Earth. This is usually characterized by inward spiraling winds that rotate counter clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere of the Earth.

Large-scale cyclonic circulations are almost always centered on areas of low atmospheric pressure. The largest low-pressure systems are cold-core polar cyclones and extratropical cyclones which lie on the synoptic scale. Warm-core cyclones such as tropical cyclones, mesocyclones, and polar lows lie within the smaller mesoscale. Subtropical cyclones are of intermediate size.Cyclones have also been seen on other planets outside of the Earth, such as Mars and Neptune.

Cyclogenesis describes the process of cyclone formation and intensification. Extratropical cyclones form as waves in large regions of enhanced midlatitude temperature contrasts called baroclinic zones. These zones contract to form weather fronts as the cyclonic circulation closes and intensifies. Later in their life cycle, cyclones occlude as cold core systems. A cyclone's track is guided over the course of its 2 to 6 day life cycle by the steering flow of the polar or subtropical jetstream.

Weather fronts separate two masses of air of different densities and are associated with the most prominent meteorological phenomena. Air masses separated by a front may differ in temperature or humidity. Strong cold fronts typically feature narrow bands of thunderstorms and severe weather, and may on occasion be preceded by squall lines or dry lines. They form west of the circulation center and generally move from west to east. Warm fronts form east of the cyclone center and are usually preceded by stratiform precipitation and fog. They move poleward ahead of the cyclone path. Occluded fronts form late in the cyclone life cycle near the enter of the cyclone and often wrap around the storm center.

Tropical cyclogenesis describes the process of development of tropical cyclones. Tropical cyclones form due to latent heat driven by significant thunderstorm activity, and are warm core.Cyclones can transition between extratropical, subtropical, and tropical phases under the right conditions. Mesocyclones form as warm core cyclones over land, and can lead to tornado formation.Waterspouts can also form from mesocyclones, but more often develop from environments of high instability and low vertical wind shear.

the singer try to interpret his love with the combination of the height of mountain kinabalu...
lalalalalalala
have you ever been or to be exact, climb mount kinabalu?
as a sabahan, im kind embarassed myself because i never climb it either..huhu
but heres some information about mount kinabalu you might want to know...

Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain in south-east asia and offers a unique climb from tropical luxuriance through montane oak forest to the rocky sub-alpine summit plateau. The climb starts from Mount Kinabalu Park Headquarters, only a couple of hours drive but already more than 1500m above Kota Kinabalu on the coast. Here is ample accomodation from dormitories to comfortable two person cottages. The climb is usually done in two days from here. The use of an authorised guide is compulsory while a porter is an optional luxury.

Many of the trees and flowers are unique or extremely rare but to the uninitiated novice in matters botanical there is no doubt that the pitcher plants steal the show. Even the most casual observer cannot fail to notice these impressive insect guzzling monsters with up to a pint of liquid waiting to lure and drown the passing fly or mosquito.

Just above the tree line at 3350m is a comfortable rest house where most parties spend the night. My sunset picture is taken just outside this mountain hut.

Before dawn next morning everybody is up and climbing by torchlight towards the summit. A steep rock step is aided by a fixed rope which, when we were there, continued all the way to the summit even where the way became quite flat. Many people have been lost on the mountain in the past, some never to be seen again. The rope and the compulsory guide make this now extremely unlikely even in the thickest mist. Nevertheless the early start is a good idea to enjoy the views before the regular mist descends on the summit. This is something which I can only speak of by hearsay as we enjoyed a rare occasion when the mountain remained clear all day.
It is not a good idea to climb too quickly as the wait for sunrise at the summit is exceedingly cold. The picture shows the rising sun illuminating the mountain's third summit, Victoria Peak. The arrival of daylight reveals the remarkable summit plateau of the mountain, a vast expanse of smooth rock with a weird assortment of rocky pinnacles rising from it, like the udder of an inverted cow as I have heard it sacreligiously described. By good fortune for the peak bagger the highest pinnacle, Lows Peak, is also one of the easiest. On the way down you can take a glimpse into the dizzy gash of Lows Gully which splits the eastern side of the mountain. With the early start the descent to Park Headquarters is easily done in one day, now with the glow of satisfaction of having climbed one of the world's most spectacular and interesting mountains.

i always wanted to go to langkawi, but that stingy zulhelmi wont take me there...how sad..
but i manage to find out something about it,instead of going i might as well fill my ease with reading it.
this is what i want to share.

Langkawi island is an archipelago of 104 islands lying in the north western coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The exact location of these tropical islands is at the site where the Straits of Malacca meets the waters of the Andaman Seas.

The largest of these islands is called Langkawi Island and is bigger than the Penang Island. The other islands in this group are Island of Pregnant Maiden (Pulau Dayang Bunting), Lion Island (Pulau Singa Besar) and Beras Basah Island. The smallest of these islands are atolls roughly the size of an ordinary house!

Langkawi is coined from the Malay words Lang and Kawi. Lang is a brown eagle and Kawi is a local manganese stone. The ancient fishermen must have seen eagles flying clutching the manganese stones! A giant monument of a brown eagle clutching the manganese stone greets all visitors to Langkawi near the Kuah Jetty.

The main tourist attractions of Langkawi Island is its virgin white sandy beaches. The beaches have very gentle continental slope and the water is crystal clear.

This island is unique in the sense that it has so many legendsand myths associated with it.Langkawi Island is therefore also called Pulau Lagenda or Legendary Island.

The most talked about legend is that of Mahsuri who is said to have laid a curse on this island for seven generations.Luckily the period of this curse is over now and Langkawi Island is fast becoming an internationally recognised tourist destination.

The government of Malaysia has declared the entire Langkawi Island as a duty free zone. Hence this island is also termed Duty Free Island. All goods sold in this island are exempted from government tax. Therefore this Legendary Island is a haven for the shoppers. You only need to stay in Langkawi for a minimum of 48 hours to take back home a reasonable amount of tax free goods.

theres so many great places here in malaysia.so why go elsewhere?
thank you

have you ever heard about atlantis?
lets read it together, i just got this from a friend of mine.

Atlantis (in Greek, Ἀτλαντὶς, "daughter of Atlas") is a legendary island first mentioned in Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias.

In Plato's account Atlantis was a naval power lying "beyond the Pillars of Hercules" that conquered many parts of Western Europe and Africa 9,000 years before the time of Solon, or approximately 9600 BC. After a failed attempt to invade Athens, Atlantis sank into the ocean "in a single day and night of misfortune".

As a story embedded in Plato's dialogues, Atlantis is generally seen as a myth created by Plato to illustrate his political theories[citation needed]. Although the function of the story of Atlantis seems clear to most scholars, they dispute whether and how much Plato's account was inspired by older traditions. Some scholars argue Plato drew upon memories of past events such as the Thera eruption or the Trojan War, while others insist that he took inspiration from contemporary events like the destruction of Helike in 373 BC or the failed Athenian invasion of Sicily in 415–413 BC.

The possible existence of a genuine Atlantis was actively discussed throughout classical antiquity, but it was usually rejected and occasionally parodied by later authors. While little known during the Middle Ages, the story of Atlantis was rediscovered by Humanists in the Modern period. Plato's description inspired the utopian works of several Renaissance writers, like Francis Bacon's "New Atlantis". Atlantis inspires today's literature, from science fiction to comic books to films, its name having become a byword for any and all supposed advanced prehistoric lost civilizations.

wow..
something like this ever exist in our world..just imagine...

do you know titanic?well...
i dont know either, so lets read it together..hehehe... its kind a bored doing reading all by yourself sometimes..

RMS Titanic was an Olympic-class passenger liner owned by the White Star Line and built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, United Kingdom. On the night of 14 April 1912, during her maiden voyage, Titanic hit an iceberg, and sank two hours and forty minutes later, early on 15 April 1912. At the time of her launching in 1912, she was the largest passenger steamship in the world.

The sinking resulted in the deaths of 1,517 people, ranking it as one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. The Titanic used some of the most advanced technology available at the time and was, prior to the sinking, popularly believed to be “unsinkable”.It was a great shock to many that despite the advanced technology and experienced crew, the Titanic sank with a great loss of life. The media frenzy about Titanic's famous victims, the legends about what happened on board the ship, the resulting changes to maritime law, and the discovery of the wreck in 1985 by a team led by Robert Ballard have made Titanic persistently famous in the years since.

but theres also saying that the titanic was cursed by the mummy they carried which made it sinks..but lets just leave that to the one who knows better, until then..

want to do some crime?
how about doing it with a high standard of crime..
nah!!! just kidding.crime wont pay..
white collar crime is what they call for a high standard crime doing.

Within the field of criminology, white-collar crime or 'incorporated governance' has been defined by Edwin Sutherland as "a crime committed by a person of respectability and high social status in the course of his occupation" (1949). Sutherland was a proponent of Symbolic Interactionism, and believed that criminal behaviour was learned from interpersonal interaction with others. White-collar crime therefore overlaps with corporate crime because the opportunity for fraud, bribery, insider trading, embezzlement, computer crime, and forgery is more available to white-collar employees.
but...
never consider doing any crime..

marie curie is the name!
Marie SkÅ‚odowska–Curie (7 November 1867 – 4 July 1934) was a physicist and chemist of Polish upbringing and, subsequently, French citizenship. She was a pioneer in the field of radioactivity, the only person honored with Nobel Prizes in two different sciences, and the first female professor at the University of Paris.

She was born Maria Skłodowska in Warsaw, Vistula Country, Russian Empire, and lived there until she was 24. In 1891 she followed her elder sister Bronisława to study in Paris, where she obtained her higher degrees and conducted her subsequent scientific work. She founded the Curie Institutes in Paris and Warsaw. Her husband Pierre Curie was also a Nobel laureate, as were her daughter Irène Joliot-Curie and son-in-law Frédéric Joliot-Curie.

Her achievements include the creation of a theory of radioactivity (a term coined by her and Pierre), techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes, and the discovery of two new elements, radium and polonium. It was also under her personal direction that the world's first studies were conducted into the treatment of neoplasms ("cancers"), using radioactive isotopes.

While an actively loyal French citizen, she never lost her sense of Polish identity. She named the first new chemical element that she discovered (1898) "polonium" for her native country, and in 1932 she founded a Radium Institute (now the Maria SkÅ‚odowska–Curie Institute of Oncology) in her home town Warsaw, headed by her physician-sister BronisÅ‚awa.

want some advice?

everyday i went to convenient water shop to refill my mineral water supply.Just as i was reading this, then i know that the water is just from pipeline that has been treated with the reverse osmosis process.

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a separation process that uses pressure to force a solution through a membrane that retains the solute on one side and allows the pure solvent to pass to the other side. More formally, it is the process of forcing a solvent from a region of high solute concentration through a membrane to a region of low solute concentration by applying a pressure in excess of the osmotic pressure. This is the reverse of the normal osmosis process, which is the natural movement of solvent from an area of low solute concentration, through a membrane, to an area of high solute concentration when no external pressure is applied. The membrane here is semipermeable, meaning it allows the passage of solvent but not of solute.

The membranes used for reverse osmosis have a dense barrier layer in the polymer matrix where most separation occurs. In most cases the membrane is designed to allow only water to pass through this dense layer while preventing the passage of solutes (such as salt ions). This process requires that a high pressure be exerted on the high concentration side of the membrane, usually 2–17 bar (30–250 psi) for fresh and brackish water, and 40–70 bar (600–1000 psi) for seawater, which has around 24 bar (350 psi) natural osmotic pressure which must be overcome.

This process is best known for its use in desalination (removing the salt from sea water to get fresh water), but it has also been used to purify fresh water for medical, industrial and domestic applications since the early 1970s.

When two solutions with different concentrations of a solute are mixed, the total amount of solutes in the two solutions will be equally distributed in the total amount of solvent from the two solutions.

Instead of mixing the two solutions together, they can be put in two compartments where they are separated from each other by a semipermeable membrane. The semipermeable membrane does not allow the solutes to move from one compartment to the other, but allows the solvent to move. Since equilibrium cannot be achieved by the movement of solutes from the compartment with high solute concentration to the one with low solute concentration, it is instead achieved by the movement of the solvent from areas of low solute concentration to areas of high solute concentration. When the solvent moves away from low concentration areas, it causes these areas to become more concentrated. On the other side, when the solvent moves into areas of high concentration, solute concentration will decrease. This process is termed osmosis. The tendency for solvent to flow through the membrane can be expressed as "osmotic pressure", since it is analogous to flow caused by a pressure differential.

In reverse osmosis, in a similar setup as that in osmosis, pressure is applied to the compartment with high concentration. In this case, there are two forces influencing the movement of water: the pressure caused by the difference in solute concentration between the two compartments (the osmotic pressure) and the externally applied pressure.

well thats for sure will make a good use of our own water source right?
thank you

Assalamualaikum..to everyone and Madam Jumani.

I have read an article about “solstice”. The article said, solstice occurs twice each year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is most inclined toward or away from the Sun, causing the Sun's apparent position in the sky to reach its northernmost or southernmost extreme. The name is derived from the Latin sol (sun) and ‘sistere’ (to stand still), because at the solstices, the Sun stands still in declination. That is, the apparent movement of the Sun's path north or south comes to a stop before reversing direction. The solstices, and the equinoxes, are connected with the seasons. The English expressions "midwinter" (winter solstice) and "midsummer" (summer solstice) may derive from a tradition according to which there were only two seasons winter and summer. Ok that all from me about the article that I read. So, if you want to know more, you can search this web site.

2) Assalamualaikum to everyone and especially Madam Jumani. I picked this interesting article about” The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World”. It is the first known list of the most remarkable man-made creations of classical antiquity, and was based on guide-books popular among Hellenic sight-seers and only includes works located around the Mediterranean rim. The seven wonders included. Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus, Colossus of Rhodes, Lighthouse of Alexandria. The Greek category was not Wonders but "thaumata", which translates closer to "miracles". The list that we know today was compiled in the Middle Ages by which time many of the sites were no longer in existence. Today, the only ancient world wonder that still exists is the Great Pyramid of Giza. If you guys interested with this article, you can find more info and pictures about “seven wonders of the world” with this web site.

Do you really know what the meaning of Tsunami and how it happen. If you don’t, I will tell you about it. Like those notified in the article Tsunami is a series of waves that is created when a large volume of a body of water, such as an ocean, is rapidly displaced. The Japanese term is literally translated into "(great) harbor wave."The Greek historian Thucydides was the first to relate tsunami to submarine quakes, but understanding of the nature of tsunami remained slim until the 20th century and is the subject of ongoing research. Many early geological, geographical, and oceanographic texts refer to tsunamis as "seismic sea waves." The term tsunami comes from the Japanese, meaning "harbor" (tsu) and "wave" (nami). Tsunami the inland movement of water is much greater and lasts for a longer period, giving the impression of an incredibly high tide. A tsunami can be generated when converging or destructive plate boundaries abruptly move and vertically displace the overlying water. For more information log on this web site.

Music music and music! I cant Live without music! how does music influence our daily life specially teenagers?..

Teenagers listen to an average of nearly 2.5 hours of music per day. Guess what they’re hearing about?

One in three popular songs contains explicit references to drug or alcohol use, according to a new report in The Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. That means kids are receiving about 35 references to substance abuse for every hour of music they listen to, the authors determined.

While songs about drugs and excess are nothing new, the issue is getting more attention because so many children now have regular access to music out of the earshot of parents. Nearly 9 out of 10 adolescents and teens have an MP3 player or a compact disc player in their bedrooms.

Studies have long shown that media messages have a pronounced impact on childhood risk behaviors. Exposure to images of smoking in movies influences a child’s risk for picking up the habit. Alcohol use in movies and promotions is also linked to actual alcohol use.

Researchers from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine studied the 279 most popular songs from 2005, based on reports from Billboard magazine, which tracks popular music. Whether a song contained a reference to drugs or alcohol varied by genre. Only 9 percent of pop songs had lyrics relating to drugs or alcohol. The number jumped to 14 percent for rock songs, 20 percent for R&B and hip-hop songs, 36 percent for country songs and 77 percent for rap songs.

Notably, smoking references aren’t that common in music today, with only 3 percent of the songs portraying tobacco use. About 14 percent of songs spoke of marijuana use, 24 percent depicted alcohol use, and another 12 percent included reference to other substances. About 4 percent of the songs contained “anti” drug and alcohol messages.

The study authors noted that music represents a pervasive source of exposure to positive images of substance use. The average adolescent is exposed to approximately 84 references to explicit substance use per day and 591 references per week, or 30,732 references per year. The average adolescent listening only to pop would be exposed to 5 references per day, whereas the average adolescent who listens just to rap would be exposed to 251 references per day.

Whether any of this matters remains an open question. While the impact of exposure to images of smoking and alcohol in film has been well documented, less is known about the effect of music on childhood risk behaviors.

Although music lacks the visual element of film, adolescent exposure to music is much more frequent, accounting for an average of 16 hours each week for music compared with about 6 hours each week for movie images, according to the study authors. But frequency of exposure is not the only factor. Unlike visual media, music is a powerful social force that also taps into an individual’s personal identity, memories and mood.

“Music is well-known to connect deeply with adolescents and to influence identity development, perhaps more than any other entertainment medium,” said the study authors.

hearing generate brain much better that visual because it stimulate our imagination to create something to match the music. thats what i think why music brings much influence rather than audio visual..

still! i cant live without music, my lifestyle trembles down without music as one of the ingredients of my life's foundation!

Romance,RomanTic? no..

its ROMANTICISM.

Romanticism is a complex artistic, literary, and intellectual movement that originated in the second half of the 18th century in Western Europe, and gained strength during the Industrial Revolution. It was partly a revolt against aristocratic social and political norms of the Age of Enlightenment and a reaction against the scientific rationalization of nature, and was embodied most strongly in the visual arts, music, and literature.

The movement stressed strong emotion as a source of aesthetic experience, placing new emphasis on such emotions as trepidation, horror and awe—especially that which is experienced in confronting the sublimity of untamed nature and its picturesque qualities, both new aesthetic categories. It elevated folk art and custom to something noble, and argued for a "natural" epistemology of human activities as conditioned by nature in the form of language, custom and usage.

Our modern sense of a romantic character is sometimes based on Byronic or Romantic ideals. Romanticism reached beyond the rational and Classicist ideal models to elevate medievalism and elements of art and narrative perceived to be authentically medieval, in an attempt to escape the confines of population growth, urban sprawl and industrialism, and it also attempted to embrace the exotic, unfamiliar and distant in modes more authentic than chinoiserie, harnessing the power of the imagination to envision and to escape.

Although the movement is rooted in German Pietism, which prized intuition and emotion over Enlightenment rationalism, the ideologies and events of the French Revolution laid the background from which Romanticism emerged. The confines of the Industrial Revolution also had their influence on Romanticism, which was in part an escape from modern realities; indeed, in the second half of the nineteenth century, "Realism" was offered as a polarized opposite to Romanticism. Romanticism elevated the achievements of what it perceived as misunderstood heroic individuals and artists that altered society. It also legitimized the individual imagination as a critical authority which permitted freedom from classical notions of form in art. There was a strong recourse to historical and natural inevitability, a zeitgeist, in the representation of its ideas.

I like this article the most! but..
i dont understand a thing. all i know is romanticism is a movement involved in fighting aristocratic social. From my opinion, this revolution are to protect the right of all and to make sure that people other than aristocrat get what they deserve and for the most part, JUSTICE!
thank you.

Teenagers in cyberspace!

PsychCentral.com highlights a recent study that found one in five teens are using cell phones and online technology to send sexually explicit pictures of themselves to others. The research is from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unwanted Pregnancy and CosmoGirl.com.

PsychCentral founder John Grohol, an expert in online psychology issues, says that the “online disinhibition effect,” the phenomenon that prompts people to say and do things in cyberspace that they wouldn’t ordinarily say or do in the real world, is strongly at work here. He notes that nearly one quarter of teens say that technology makes them personally more forward and aggressive. According to Dr. Grohol:

The scary part is that most respondents agreed that engaging in this sort of behavior “can have serious negative consequences” but do it anyway. Although respondents realize how easy it is to save these images and share them (about 40 percent of respondents said they did so) with one’s friends or post them online (perhaps long after they’ve broken up), it doesn’t appear to be stopping anyone. While an old love note passed around might cause embarrassment, a sexually explicit image passed around could cause much more trouble than mere embarrassment if it surfaces years later as one is applying to graduate school or for their first job.

Yesterday’s Vital Signs column highlighted an interesting study about teen online behavior, in which a researcher, “Dr. Meg,” alerted kids on MySpace.com about potentially embarrassing content they had posted on their personal pages. The warnings worked, and many kids changed their postings.

But parents can’t count on Dr. Meg to keep their teens in check. PsychCentral offers some commonsense suggestions to teens before they hit the send button, such as reminding them that nothing “will truly go away” once it’s in cyberspace.

Cyberspace where there were so many information not one can control the flow of these information. Involvement of teenagers in such a thing can ruin the sacred creation of cyberspace for mankind. Other than that, recreating a new breed of teenagers.. cute and not so honourable little monster..

Myspace? Facebook?

To many parents, Web sites like My Space and Facebook are a threat, a door open to the outside world that lets strangers into homes. But the benefits of online interaction may far outweigh the risks.

A commentary in this month’s Journal of Adolescent Research notes that networking sites provide teens with opportunities to develop social and communication skills and to bridge racial and ethnic divides. These benefits often are overlooked by parents worried that adult predators are lurking online.

“We may do adolescents a disservice when we curtail their participation in these spaces, because the educational and psychosocial benefits of this type of communication can far outweigh the potential dangers,” writes Brandesha Tynes, an educational psychologist at the University of Illinois who authored the commentary.

In her article “Internet Safety Gone Wild?,” Dr. Tynes suggests some parents may be going overboard. While teens need to be warned about “digital dangers” like adult predators, parents also need to consider the benefits of spending time in online settings, she argues. These sites provide a chance to augment critical thinking and argumentation skills, she says. Online, kids find support from peer groups, get help with homework and talk about sensitive issues they might be too embarrassed or afraid to discuss face-to-face.

Discussions of race and ethnicity are common online, Dr. Tynes adds. In one study of open-topic chat rooms, race was mentioned in 38 of 39 discussions. At a time when schools are increasingly segregated, Dr. Tynes says educators may want to encourage online interactions as a substitute for racial interactions that no longer occur in classrooms or hallways.

Tech-savvy teens already are aware that online socializing can generate unwelcome advances in cyberspace, she says. Parents should talk to kids about privacy settings and how to deal with unwanted attention online.

While online social groups shouldn’t replace real-world socializing, Dr. Tynes claims that parents need to rethink its value. The Internet may sometimes be a better way for teens to prepare for the adult social world, because they can do it “in the safety of their own homes.”

Having a networking sites like this is a common interest to teenagers. For those parents who give this networking sites a negative view, this article may help to give understanding of what is the main purpose of it rather than just gaining profit. Not just parents, anyone who thinks this kind of things are just a waste of time only.better to be sure about that..

According to the news article ‘Fatal Car Accident in Northampton’ which I found on the web page www.accidents.com, I realized how horrible an accident could be. The image of the truck was totally damaged especially on the front part of the vehicle. Looking at this picture, I remembered how one of my friends died in a car accident just recently. She was riding on her friend’s car and the driver was her friend. The cause of the accident was because at that time, her friend was searching for a cell phone and did not concentrate on her driving. All of a sudden a lorry came by them. They lose control and swerved into the lorry. My friend died tragically on that day but her friend survived the accident. I felt terribly sorry for her father who was the school principle. Hope things are fine now.

How far do you know about ‘Hypertension or High Blood Pressure’? This condition is actually due to the narrowing of arteries which eventually leads to the increase of blood pressure. According to the article, there are two types of hypertension, namely the primary and the secondary. From what I know, people usually relate hypertension to stress but I don’t really know how true is that. My mum has hypertension and has been admitted a few times already. Physically, she looks just fine like everyone else. But on the day when she was admitted, my dad told me that she was working too hard cleaning the whole house. After listening to him, I think it could be due to the pressure she was coping through during the cleaning activity. Further information on this condition can be viewed on the web page: www.meditests.com

‘Should You Let Your Child Use an Internet Chat Room?’ is yet another interesting article which I found on the web page: www.interestingarticlesite.com. It is actually very important to keep an eye on our kids when they use the computer. There is no reason to say that they might not be a victim of any internet user who disguise themselves and eventually befriended with our kids. Anything could to happen. From my own experiences, I have chatted with a stranger who claimed to be a girl at the age around 12. But from time to time as we chatted, I realized that the way ‘she’ wrote seemed to be quite mature in the sense of using her words and replying my messages. At some point, she even used words which touched on sex activity. To me, it’s ridiculous especially for a child of that age to use those words. Besides, ‘she’ claimed herself to be a Malaysian from Malacca. Since that day, I have stopped chatting with ‘her’.

Assalamualaikum and very good morning to all commenters..

Today, I want to share with you about war in Palestine. Although the war was already finish, but the war a lot of disadvantages.

Why Israel had to fight to look after its people?

It’ll be no surprise to anyone familiar with this column that I am 100% behind the Israeli action against Hamas in Gaza.

For the militant Palestinians in Hamas, their malevolent twins in Hezbollah, and their even more malevolent arms-suppliers in Iran, the only solution to the ‘problem’ in the region is the termination of Israel.

That’s not misrepresentation. That’s root-and-branch the expressed view of those three ghastly partners in terror. It’s the very essence of Hamas. Stupid, unsophisticated, self-sacrificial — persuading the gullible to kill themselves by suicide bomb — and exploiting the lowest possible urges of a people certainly embattled and cornered.

It’s also the reason why Hamas was able to win elections in Gaza, routing the PLO under President Mahmoud Abbas, dubbed by one Hamas leader, Khaled Meshal, as “a merchant selling Palestinians' rights”.

So, when Israel is attacked, it’s the price that nation of interlopers must pay for being there in the first place.

If they retaliate, as any democracy would be expected to do, the hue-and-cry from the usual sources in the West is deafening.

How dare they fight back! If they weren’t there in the first place, they wouldn’t be attacked! Do they not know they should welcome Palestinian outrages as atonement for their rape of the Palestinian nation?

And other such guff.

Larded with the traditional, routine, by-now barely-concealed anti-Semitism of the Western Left and the British Labour movement in particular. Hence, one newspaper in this very city can publish a cartoon so breathtakingly racist and anti-Semitic that it’s no longer even commented on as out of the ordinary.

But am I wrong in thinking that the hue-and-cry has been rather less raucous than usual?

Certainly, there’s been little noise from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan — and even Syria has been keeping its powder dry. Pakistan has been notably quiet also.

In other words, every country with an investment in the region — and which would normally have been among the first to rattle sabres — have kept their counsel. Why?

Maybe because of the woman suicide bomber, corseted with ball-bearings, who blew herself up outside a Shiite mosque in Baghdad on Sunday, killing more than 40 people.

Maybe because of the suicide attack, also on Sunday, which killed seven in north-west Pakistan.

Maybe because last week, four months after a local militia stood up to the Taliban and threw them out of their village, killing six of them, the Taliban murdered 40 people in Shal Bandal in north west Pakistan, many of them children, in a car bomb.

Maybe because they’ve all felt the consequences of dallying with the Hezbollah, Hamas, al-Qaida, Taliban mindset. And they all know who’s really calling the shots in Gaza. You know too. He was on TV delivering his Christmas message to Britain, courtesy of Channel Four.

I’m no war-monger. I’d like to see Mugabe hunted down for his crimes over a quarter of a century in Zimbabwe, not just those committed when he became an embarrassment to the Western Lefties. I was glad to see Saddam closed down — that’s one nation which isn’t keen to join any Iranian-backed scheme to capitalise on the sufferings of the people of Gaza.

And they are suffering, no question. As of today, however, there is equally no question that Hamas ‘soldiers’ are suffering more than civilians.

But as long as Hamas is sanctioned by anyone to hurl 200 rockets a day into towns where ordinary people live, it is insane not to expect Israel to. It’s their right and their duty to their own people.

Israel, remember, spent the whole of the first Iraq War showing restraint as Saddam’s SCUD missiles rained down on them.

But there’s a limit to provocation. And that limit was passed 12 days ago.

The Israelis didn’t learn tolerance from the industrial slaughter of Jews by Germany. The idea that because they were subject to a ‘final solution’ they would somehow be ‘nicer’ in future to people who wanted to obliterate them is both offensive and stupid.

What they learned was precisely what it is they will never tolerate again.

And if no one else does — ever — I for one will support that democracy.

All the way.

Assalamu’alaikum,

What is water use for?? I believe that all of us need it every day. So, let me tell you what actually it uses for, ok??

Water is essential to life on earth. We need water to grow food, keep clean, provide power, control fire, and last but not least, we need it to stay alive!
If water is constantly being cleaned and recycled through the earth’s water cycle, why do we need to conserve it? The answer is that people use up our planet’s fresh water faster than it can naturally be replenished.
To provide enough clean fresh water for people, water is cleaned at drinking water treatment plants before it is used. And after water is used, it is cleaned again at waste water treatment plants or by a septic system before being put back into the environment.
Saving water is good for the earth, our family, and our community.

Hi everyone, well let us know about something which is Q-CAD guarantees fixed pricing and turnaround based on sheet size, regardless of sheet content. You may have already noticed that in the CAD conversion industry, the majority of our competitors require that they see your drawings before they will give you a quote. Not only is this time consuming, but it also takes your time away from other projects, as well as delays the current conversion project. Our fixed rate pricing allows you to send us your orders immediately, without the need for a quote and enables you to prepare a budget beforehand.

No place in the world is a
safe place. Even in the house. This statement suits the current situation or news where a young girl was molested by her Indonesian kindergarten maid. We also always hear news that reports that girls are molested or raped by her own family members especially their fathers.
What is going to happen to the world, when even your own flesh and blood is doing that to you?
They are the one who suppose to protects, love and supports us not the other way round.
What I can say is nowadays, it is hard to trust anyone including your family members.
How do we live in the world like this? We need to do some thinking on this matter.
There has been many prevention matter that were implemented, but to my personal opinion, it doesn't help in any way as the number of rape cases increase day by day.

Let me continue comment..

What famous people said about Muhammad SAW.

1. His complete biography has been authenticated and circulated amongst scholars around the world starting while he was still alive and continuing up until today. One of the first examples we quote from is from the Encyclopedia Britannica, as it confirms:

(regarding Muhammad) ". . . a mass of detail in the early sources shows that he was an honest and upright man who had gained the respect and loyalty of others who were likewise honest and upright men."
(Vol. 12).[1]

2. Another impressive tribute to Muhammad, peace be upon him is in the very well written work of Michael H. Hart, "The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History." He states that the most influential person in all history was Muhammad, peace be upon him, with Jesus second. Examine his actual words:

"My choice of Muhammad to lead the list of the world's most influential persons may surprise some readers and may be questioned by others, but he was the only man in history who was supremely successful on both the religious and secular level."
(Michael H. Hart, THE 100: A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY, New York: Hart Publishing Company, Inc., 1978, p. 33.).[1]

3. While we are reviewing statements from famous non-Muslims about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, consider this:

"Philosopher, orator, apostle, legislator, warrior, conqueror of ideas, restorer of rational dogmas, of a cult without images; the founder of twenty terrestrial empires and of one spiritual empire, that is Muhammad. As regards all standards by which human greatness may be measured, we may well ask, is there any man greater than he?"
(Lamartine, HISTOIRE DE LA TURQUIE, Paris, 1854, Vol. II, pp. 276-277.).[1]

4. George Bernard Shaw, a famous writer and non-Muslim says:

"He must be called the Savior of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that would bring it much needed peace and happiness."
(The Genuine Islam, Singapore, Vol. 1, No. 8, 1936).[1]

5. K. S. Ramakrishna Rao, an Indian (Hindu) professor of Philosophy, in his booklet "Muhammad the Prophet of Islam" calls him the "perfect model for human life." Professor Ramakrishna Rao explains his point by saying:

"The personality of Muhammad, it is most difficult to get into the whole truth of it. Only a glimpse of it I can catch. What a dramatic succession of picturesque scenes. There is Muhammad the Prophet. There is Muhammad the Warrior; Muhammad the Businessman; Muhammad the Statesman; Muhammad the Orator; Muhammad the Reformer; Muhammad the Refuge of Orphans; Muhammad the Protector of Slaves; Muhammad the Emancipator of Women; Muhammad the Judge; Muhammad the Saint. All in all these magnificent roles, in all these departments of human activities, he is alike a hero."[1]

muhammad

6. What should we think about our prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, when someone with the worldly status such as Mahatma Gandhi, speaking on the character of Muhammad, peace be upon him, says in 'YOUNG INDIA':

"I wanted to know the best of one who holds today undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankind... I became more than convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life."[1]

7. English author Thomas Carlyle in his 'Heroes and Hero Worship', was simply amazed:

"How one man single handedly, could weld warring tribes and wandering Bedouins into a most powerful and civilized nation in less than two decades."[1]

8. And Diwan Chand Sharma wrote in "The Prophets of the East":

"Muhammad was the soul of kindness, and his influence was felt and never forgotten by those around him"
(D.C. Sharma, The Prophets of the East, Calcutta, 1935, pp. 12)
Muhammad, peace be upon him, was nothing more or less than a human being, but he was a man with a noble mission, which was to unite humanity on the worship of ONE and ONLY ONE GOD and to teach them the way to honest and upright living based on the commands of God. He always described himself as, 'A Servant and Messenger of God' and so indeed every action of his proclaimed to be.[1]

9. Speaking on the aspect of equality before God in Islam, the famous poetess of India, Sarojini Naidu says:

"It was the first religion that preached and practiced democracy; for, in the mosque, when the call for prayer is sounded and worshippers are gathered together, the democracy of Islam is embodied five times a day when the peasant and king kneel side by side and proclaim: 'God Alone is Great'... I have been struck over and over again by this indivisible unity of Islam that makes man instinctively a brother."
(S. Naidu, Ideals of Islam, vide Speeches & Writings, Madras, 1918, p. 169)[1]

10. In the words of Professor Hurgronje:

"The league of nations founded by the prophet of Islam put the principle of international unity and human brotherhood on such universal foundations as to show candle to other nations." He continues, "the fact is that no nation of the world can show a parallel to what Islam has done towards the realization of the idea of the League of Nations."[1]

11. Edward Gibbon and Simon Ockley, on the profession of ISLAM, writes in "History of the Saracen Empires":

"I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, AND MAHOMET, AN APOSTLE OF GOD' is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honor of the Prophet have never transgressed the measure of human virtues; and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion."
(History of the Saracen Empires, London, 1870, p. 54)[1]

muhammad

12. Wolfgang Goethe, perhaps the greatest European poet ever, wrote about Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. He said:

"He is a prophet and not a poet and therefore his Koran is to be seen as Divine Law and not as a book of a human being, made for education or entertainment."
(Noten und Abhandlungen zum Weststlichen Dvan, WA I, 7, 32)[1]

13. W Montgomery Watt an Emeritus Professor in Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Edinburgh wrote:

"His readiness to undergo persecution for his beliefs, the high morale character of the men who believed in him and look up to him as a leader, and greatness of his ultimate achivement all argue his fundemental integrity. To suppose Muhammad was an impostor raises more problems than it solves"
( Mohammad At Mecca, Oxford, 1953, p 52).[2]

14. In his book, Reverend Bosworth Smith stated that;

"He was a Ceaser and a Pope in one; but he was a Pope without Pope's pretensions, Ceaser without legions of Ceasers: without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue. If ever any man had the right to say thathe ruled by the right devine, it was Muhammad, for he had all the power without its instrument an d without its supports"
(Mohammad and Mohammadism, London 1874, p 92).[2]

15. Annie Besant, a woman's right activist admires Muhammad as follows;

"... And although in what I put to you I shall say many things which maybe fimiliar to many, yet I myself feel whenever I re-read them, a new of admiration, a new sense of reverence for that mighty Arabian teacher"
('The Life and Teaching of Muhammad', Madras 1932 p 4).[2]

Assalamu’alaikum and Good Friday every one,

I would like to share to all of us why Muslim men compulsory praying on Friday which is we call “Solat Jumaat” well, let us know what the reason of it.

From Aus bin Aus (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Among the best of your days is Friday. On that day pray to Allah to exalt my mention frequently, for your such supplications are presented to me.''
[Abu Dawud].
Commentary: This Hadith brings forth the following three points:
1.The auspiciousness of time further enhances the merits of virtuous deeds, as is evident from the stress on reciting more and more salutation on the Prophet (PBUH) on Friday.
2.On Jumu`ah, salutation is presented to the Prophet (PBUH). This statement goes to prove that he does not hear salutation of anyone directly, either from near or from far. There is a famous Hadith which says that he hears it from near but this is not "Sahih'' technically. Therefore, the truth of the matter is that he does not hear it directly. It is the angels who convey it to him.
3.The most well-worded is "Ibrahimi salutation'' because the Prophet (PBUH) himself taught it to his Companions. The salutation is: Allahumma salli `ala Muhammadin wa `ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallaita `ala Ibrahima, wa `ala ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majeed. Allahumma barik `ala Muhammadin wa `ala ali Muhammadin, kama barakta `ala Ibrahima, wa `ala ali Ibrahima, innaka Hamidun Majeed.
So, I would like give my message especially to Muslim men that never leave your Friday prayer, if you’re Muslim please doing it with sincerely. It is easy to do, do not give so many reason why you can’t do it as well. For all of our life, ALLAH always give the best thing in our life so to show your thankful to Him by doing all of His instructions and leave all of his prohibitions.

Hello friends...
Have you listen about planet before this? Of course you heard right? Today I wouldn't ask for all planets but I want to share about "Jupiter’s stormy great red spot is shrinking".
So what makes its red? The researchers do not know why the storm is shrinking. Even the exact cause of its distinctive color is a mystery. But the spot isn't always bright red and sometimes it's actually quite pale, Simon-Miller noted. Other than that, the stormy that liked many things has a natural growth and disintegration rate. This is so interesting article that I know.
Before this I just know planet has 7 types and there are moved on orbit. So, if you want to know more about Jupiter, just open website http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TECH/space/04/02/jupiter.red.spot.shrinking/index.html

Wau,thats so usefull information Rahma.
Hm, now I want to share with you about Free Islamic Prayer (Azan@Adhan) Softwares.

I have been using a Salaat Time for quite some time now. I am very satisfied with its performance as it never misses to inform me the prayer time. Salaat Time is an application that calculates the prescribed five daily Muslim prayer times as well as Qiblah direction for anywhere in the world. It rests in the system tray and at the prescribed times the Athan sounds and/or displays visual alerts.

I decided to look for other Open Source alternative for similar software which I can use as an option for Salaat Time and maybe a plugin or widget for Wordpress. Unfortunately, I could not find any…

Islamic Prayer Times for Joomla

Joomla Islamic Prayer ModuleInstead, I found an Islamic Joomla extension. It is a module for Joomla portals that displays Islamic prayer times. Written by Omar Alrawi, a student from Purdue University, the prayer software can also:

* display prayer times right off islamicfinder.org
* display your own custom defined times just fill the text box
* display sunrise time
* add leading or trailing text to module before or after the times
* user defined Iqama times

I have email Omar and asked whether he could modify the script to become a Wordpress plugin or widget, because I wanted to put it inside my alumni community portal which runs Wordpress as the backend.

At the moment, I am using a PHP script from islamicfinder.org which is able to show daily prayer times of Kuala Lumpur, our Malaysian capital city.

You can get your own script from islamicfinder.org for your portal. You need select a country and a city where you live in. They will generate a script that you can cut and paste into your web page. And you can choose from either vertical or horizontal table presentation.

Side note: There are differences on calculating the prayer times for Fajr (Subuh) and Isya’, according to different methodology. If you don’t have the knowledge on which methodology to use, just choose the default value, and they will generate the script for you.

I am slightly disappointed in this area when I found NONE of the open source prayer softwares that is listed in Sourceforge.net is working. I found 2 - Adhan Alarm and TrayAdhan - which both have bugs. After installation, I could not get the software working as expected.

It gives me no choice but to look for other software from other places. I found Mawaqit from Hotscripts.com. Mawaqit has a similar functionality with Salaat Time, but the presentation of the software is much more interesting. Basically, both of the softwares have these key features:

* Set different athans at different prayer times or use the random feature.
* Selection of different discreet visual alerts including balloon tips and tray flash.
* Qiblah direction in graphical compass-like format.
* Time until next prayer with a dynamic graphical interface for time-remaining.
* Daily, monthly and yearly prayer time views.
* Moon phases in Hijri and Gregorian calendars.
* Transform Hijri dates to Gregorian and vice-versa.

I fell in love the first time I saw Mawaqit. It has a very beautiful GUI compared to Salaat Time.

Salaat Time will have a notification balloon during prayer time and Mawaqit will have a pop-ups from the system tray, showing Muazzin reciting Azan.

So, which one is better?

Personally, I like Mawaqit’s GUI and presentation very much. But in terms of extra features like exporting and printing monthly prayer time calendars in both Hijri and/or Gregorian formats and listen to the Quran from a selection of Suras and Ayaats, only Salaat Time have those features.

Salaat Time website also have a lot more to offer to Muslim computer users, with audio lectures and custom folder of audio and image files which you can add-on to your Salaat Time software for enhancement.

p/s: Hoping for Adhan Alarm and Tray Alarm to be updated…and for muslim, don't forget to go Friday pray after this...

Kuala Kangsar school first to sign up for contest?
Did anybody know what means by statement at above?
Well, I read from websites, The New Straits Times Press ( Malaysia) Berhad said that a rural secondary school with only 653 students, mostly
from lower-income families who hardly use English at home, has become the
first to sign up for the RHB-NST Spell-It-Right Challenge.

SMK Sayong, Kuala Kangsar is not as well-known as its illustrious neighbors such as
the Malay College and Clifford School. But teacher Sazlina Suriati Samah,
head of the school's English panel, went to the RHB Bank branch in this
riverside town on Monday to make sure her school would be among the first
to register.
The state champions will compete in the national challenge in August.
For details of the challenge, look out for entry forms in the NST.

Today I want share with you all about types of computer virus, how to prevent your computer from the virus and meaning of computer virus. What is computer virus??Computer viruses are small software programs that are designed to spread from one computer to another and to interfere with computer operation.A virus might corrupt or delete data on your computer, use your e-mail program to spread itself to other computers or even erase everything on your hard disk.Viruses can be disguised as attachments of funny images, greeting cards or audio and video files.Besides that viruses also spread through downloads on the internet. They can be hidden in illicit software or other files or programs you might download. To help avoid viruses,it's essential that you keep your computer current with the latest updates and antivirus tools, stay informed about recent threats and that you follow a few basic rules when you surf the Internet.download files and open attachments. There are many types of computer viruses, but the common types of computer viruses are

-Trojan Horses:

It seems that nowadays fat wallet can buy you your life..haha..not literally..
Well, in the case of Tee Lin Say, who had a father with lung cancer, find this statement quite true.
At first, when her father was complaining of a very severe headache, they brought him to the public hospital, well it took them 3 weeks to actually diagnose what really cause the headache, While time is running out, within that period of time it would have been better for her to bring her father straight to private hospital, where the treatment are of better quality and the diagnosis on a shorter time period. But there is only one problem, Will everybody can afford the bills of these hospital? Well, certainly no..It is as if every citizen of Malaysia are rich people. In reality, there is no such thing.
So, you either have a fat wallet or pray for health all your life.

I think silly about this peole who protest

Malaysia is a democratic country but still this kind of thing can happen

I think this is small matter but the peoles are making this as a big issue.

Math and scines in english is good system according to me because most Malaysians don,t know to speak fluent english. This can improve their english.

hye..

I had read an article from The Star online which is about “stress”. Do you realize that “stress” is around us and it is a normal condition which will occur from time to time? What is stress actually? Stress is something which many of us face in our lives, sometimes even on a daily basis. The stress that is felt can be the result of work-related issues or ones which fall closer to home. There are many different definitions of stress. The definition of stress depends strongly on the type of entity that is defining it. Regular dictionaries define stress as a condition caused by outside factors in the environment which can cause physical or mental results. Medical dictionaries usually define stress due to the medical conditions which can result from stress.
Stress can be considered a normal for individuals to face or experience. Everyone is supposed to have a suitable way or method to experience or reduce his or her problems and stress. It is usually only when stress becomes unbearable, chronic or severe when the individual needs to have their stress evaluated.
So, here I would like to share with u all of several effective ways to help u overcoming the terrible stress. One way to reduce stress is to eliminate the stress-causing event or object. Other ways to eliminate or alleviate stress are to exercise, meditation, aromatherapy and eat a proper diet. It is important that the individual experiencing the stress acknowledges such a condition and then starts on the right track to getting rid of stress-causing factors in their life or working to alleviate the stress through other means.
Lastly, I need to comment that you just try your own way to reduce the stress for all you won’t get hurt of yourself or influence others. If you think that “laughing” is an appropriate method, then you just laugh as much as you prefer. Instead, if you consider that “crying” can reduce or minimize your stress, or you just can take this action at a certain safe place to release your feelings.

hello..do you know that, by eating chocolate we can burn fat?this article really attract me because i like to eat chocolate so much. but this article just mention about chocolate and man.chocolate-loving men are always in better health than those who do not like it..Over five days, a group of healthy young men (half like chocolate, half didn't) ate the same foods, plus a choice of bread or chocolate.blood and urine tests showed the chocolate lovers processed fatty foods better and had lower LDL(bad) cholesterol.so, indulging on occasion may have long term health benefits - but, researchers say, only when paired with an otherwise healthy diet and lifestyle.

Is motion sickness connected to the ears????
After i read the article, i know that motion sickness has a great deal to do with the sense of balance, which is controlled in part by the inner ear. When sitting in a moving car, boat, or aeroplane, for example, the fluid in the inner car shifts, and confusing impulses may be sent to the balance centre of the brain. The eyes, as well, unable to focus on a fixed horizon, may be send upsetting messages to the brain. Some of these impulses may eventually reach the area that controls nausea and vomitting, with consequences that are all to familiar. The good news is there are drugs that can be taken before a trip to help prevent or reduce motion sickness.Actually, after i read this article,i really miss biology subject.huhu..

Why people like music? It's not just an entertainment. Whether u realise it or not, music also plays an important role in one's self improvement. There are 3 ways one can use music to accomplish this:
1. Music For Motivation - When you find the music that energizes you, relaxes you, or makes you happy, keep it ready for when you need it.
2. Music For Intelligence - Studies show that music trains the brain for higher forms of thinking. It creates neural pathways in your brain that stimulate creativity.
3. Music For Brainwave Entrainment - Music is embedded with beats and pulses that entrain your brain waves to a specific frequency which varies with mental state.
Therefore, if you want to have a better quality of life and even self improvement, why not try listening to some music? From http://www.enhancedhealing.com/articles/view.php?article=478

I was browsing in a book shop when the cover of a book caught my attention. On it was the smiling face of a handsome man.He semmed so at peace with the world. The title of book was 'How to stop worrying and start living'.
At first the author explained the fruitlessness of worrying,he said that worrying never did anybody any good but was only counter-productive.It could also lead to nervous breakdowns and health problems such as cancer.
Then, the author asked his reader to imagine the worst-possible scenario, that is the thing which we have been worrying about really happens. He tells the readers that there is always a way out.He says let us say you worry about losing job your job and it happens. If you pass, you will have worried needlessly. If you fail, you can always sit your examination again. There is just necessity for worrying.
After i had read the book,i stopped worrying so much.I became happier and more optimistic about life.Others sought me as a friend. The book had really helped me to solve my worrying problem and also helped me to live more productively...

Do you all know the role of music in our life??
Music have been used since the Greek to make their king relax. And nowadays, its still have been used practically to make people relax and enjoy. As for me,I used music to relax myself. I love music so much. Some of the people cant live without music.
And some hospital provide music therapy to ntreat their patient.
We can see how big the role of music in our live.
But nowdays, the genre of music already change a lot. They have too many genre and artist and the lyrics of the music have no meanings. Not like the old times. And the music already change to rock and roll.

Did you know about "books"?

A book is a set or collection of written, printed, illustrated, or blank sheets, made of paper, parchment, or other material, usually fastened together to hinge at one side. A single sheet within a book is called a leaf, and each side of a leaf is called a page. A book produced in electronic format is known as an e-book.

Books may also refer to a literature work, or a main division of such a work. In library and information science, a book is called a monograph, to distinguish it from serial periodicals such as magazines, journals or newspapers. The body of all written works including books is literature.

In novels, a book may be divided into several large sections, also called books (Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, etc).

A lover of books is usually referred to as a bibliophile, a bibliophilist, or a philobiblist, or, more informally, a bookworm.

A store where books are bought and sold is a bookstore or bookshop. Books can also be borrowed from libraries or obtained for reading through the practice of BookCrossing.

How we can improve our country malaysia? From a magazine i had read described many ways to improve our country. The first thing that can be improved in the country is its traffic congestion. The problem is so serious that it is very difficult for vehicles to move on the roads.
Another thing that keeps Malaysia from being the perfect country is that Malaysians are addicted to vandalism.Few public telephones are in working condition.During an emergency one cannot make use of the phones at all.Besides, our public toilets are also not in good order.
Malaysia is already a very good country. If teh people of Malaysia stop doing all this bad things I have described,Malaysia wii be much, much better place.
That's all....

WILB?
What coms to your mind when YOU see WILB or do you know what is WILB?
WILB stands for workplace Internet leisure browsing.
According to a study conducted by the University of Melbourne, their study shows that people who use the Internet for personal use, about 9 percent more productive compared to those who don't.
Besides that, according to a study author, Brent Coker, from the department of management and marketing, workplace Internet leisure browsing can sharpened worker's concentration.
According to him again, a quick Internet browsing can relax the mind and increase the net concentration thus results in increase productivity, but with having saying this, it is not an excuse for employee to use this reason to surf the net for personal use.It is human nature to always misuse the privilages and advantages that are given to them.
We have to implement strict rules on the amount of time that an employees can surf the net for personal purposes. This can be done by installing a special software that will stop the Internet connection automatically when the employee uses the Internet exceeding the limit time given. well, that is just my idea..maybe they can come with a better idea. Is playing computer games is bad?In my opinion,if a child plays the games for a short period of time for relaxion, then it is perfectly all right. There's nothing wrong for a child to play a computer games to relax his or her mind after a hard day's work or after many hours of study.
However,it is bad when one plays computer games to avoid work or study. The same action should also be taken against those who play computer games instead of doung their homework or study. This means their homework or study will be left undone.
Some students are addicted to computer games and will spend hours and hours playing them. They neglect their homework and study even forget to eat.
From all the above you can see that there are nothingwrong if one plays computer games to while away an idle hour, for fun or for relaxation. However, something is seriously wrong when one plays computer games the whole day and night to the entire exclusion of other activities.

Hi..today I read one in the website http://www.enchancedhealing.com.I like this article….its about ‘HEALTHY FOOF TASTES FOOD’ .The author ,Ingela Berger shared her experience about eating problems..Well ,she shares her knowledge how to improve the eating habits..:
1) reduce the fat in the daily diet….exchange the fat such as butter and margarine with extra-virgin olive oil….Instead of milk you may want to drink yogurt (containing live cultures) which is better for the stomach.
2) Eat fish at least twice a week. If you don’t like fish, make sure you get enough of the omega-3 fatty acids.
3) Eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, beans, cereals
4) Drink water with every meal and in between meals. You can't get enough of water
5) Take some vitamin and mineral supplement every day
6) Try a day of fasting from time to time to rinse your system. Drink only fruit juices, water and green tea that day.
7) Reduce the sugar

Here, I have ten tips for eating well without having to diet. Firstly, eat for pleasure and good health, not for weight loss. For breakfast, start your day with oats and you won’t be hungry for hours. Eat more fish, chicken, vegetables and salads, and less red meat, pork, pasta, pastry and potatoes. Use a plastic squeezy bottle for olive oil and sauces – it will help you use less. Use yogurt instead of cream. Snack on fruit and nuts instead of chocolate and crisps. Steam instead of grill, grill instead of roast, roast instead of fry, shallow-fry instead of deep-fry. Eat carbs like pasta and potatoes for lunch instead of in the evening. Drink better, drink less, and drink only with the evening meal. Lastly, if you really want something, enjoy it without guilt, then lighten up the next day:)Try it..

But isn't true because a kilogram of muscle weighs the same as a kilogram of fat.
So, if your weight remains the same, you wil look sleeker and smaller. So keep hitting those weights.

Amazing fact about sharks. let's read it.Sharks have been studied closely for more than 100 years, mainly because of their low likelihood of contracting disease. Fish with bones have a pretty high rate of growing tumors. For a long time, scientists believed that sharks were immune to cancer and tumors. So what makes sharks different? They don't have bones. Their skeleton is made up entirely of cartilage. This is one reason that shark teeth are collectible -- it's the only fossil you can find from dead sharks. Their cartilage dissolves over time, and nothing is left but the hard-enameled teeth. Many researchers think that this cartilage holds the secret to the cure for some human medical conditions -- namely cancer.that's all.

IAP in turn causes building-related illnesses in the occupants.

well, the answer is about 300,according to a study at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas (i don't know where this place)..from the research, thirty-two student kept their diaries of how much sleep they got and which foods they ate over a three-week period.
The first week, students stuck to their normal eating and sleeping schedules.
The second week, they were asked to sleep an extra two hours a day.
And the third week, they went back to their normal routines.
Researchers found that the students who got an extra two hours of sleep during week two ate nearly 300 calories a day less than in week one. When they returned to their normal sleep-deprived routines in week three, they ate more food..so,that's all the interesting something from sleep..

I want to talk about dinosaurs. Dinosaurs lived on the earth millions of years ago even before the human life came into existence. They belong to the Mesozoic era. The Dinosaurs are reptiles and most of them heed from eggs. Predominantly the dinosaurs are herbivorous and fed on plants. Some kinds were carnivores also. Some dinosaurs were 100 ft long and about 50 ft tall. They are land dwellers and never lived in water. There are no concrete proofs on how the dinosaurs sounded or how they mated. The fossils are found all over the world. They had thick bumpy skin. Its believed that they became extinct because of the environmental changes due to an asteroid that hit the earth. Its very difficult to a certain the sex of the dinosaur from its fossils. The oldest dinosaur is 'EORAPTOR'.
Not bad! If the dinosaurs still a life nowadays, make us as a human more sensitive about all around us.

The length of a river is actually very hard to calculate. It depends on the identification of the source, the identification of the mouth, and the precise measurement of the river length between source and mouth. As a result, the length measurements of many rivers are only approximations. In particular, there has for long been disagreement as to whether the Amazon or the Nile is the world's longest river.
Nile- The longest river in the worl, flowing about 6677 km. The Nile gets its name from the Greek word "Nelios", meaning River Valley. Nile Valley is called the cradle of civilization. Nile is the main water resource for Egypt. The two main tributaries of the Nile River are the White Nile and the Blue Nile. Lake Victoria is the source of the White Nile and the Blue Nile begins in the Ethiopian Highlands. The two tributaries converge in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan where they form the Nile River. The Nile flows from the mountains in the south to the Mediterranean in the north. Egypt is called the gift of Nile.

Before the construction of the Aswan High Dam; the Nile rolled through a series of six rapids, called cataracts, between northern Sudan and southern Egypt. The construction of the dam has caused major changes in the flow of Nile. Lake Nasser is a man-made lake created by the construction of the Aswan High Dam, opened in 1971. The dam was built to regulate the flow of the Nile River.

The major cities that are located on the edge of the Nile and White Nile are: Cairo, Gondokoro, Khartoum, Aswan, Thebes/Luxor, Karnak, and the town of Alexandria lies near the Rozeta branch. The major dams on the Nile are Roseires Dam, Sennar Dam, Aswan High Dam, and Owen Falls Dam. Fishing is a main source of income and wealth for many who live on the banks if Nile. Each year thousands of tonnes of fish are caught. Many modern travelers to Egypt today take a Nile cruise as part of their package.

Whatever it is, the main things are river is the most important in this earth and we must know our responsibility to care about it.
Thank you.

Tom Tom Bak is the one of reality program from Astro that hosting by the famous host is Aznil Hj. Nawawi. Nowadays, more television companies more prefer to produce programs that can get attention from audience s without concerned the affect, the information or knowledge that will audiences will get from the program and others. Tom Tom Bak is the one of program that give good and the bas effects to audiences especially children. The reasons are:

a) This program is not suitable for children because of it can influence children more to entertainment world comparing with learning world. This situation we can’t be happen because if this situation still going on it can give bad influence for our children nowadays.

b) If this situation still happens, all the entertainment elements such as sings, dance, acting and others that can give effect to their mind set. In this program, all the children talk something that nonsense and ridiculous such as the way the language that the children use during the show, with the older person without respect.

c) The good from this program is to build up confident in each of children that join in this program and make they can speak out their own opinion about some topic.

d) This program doesn’t have any learning section such as, to build up the children skill in to develop their minds.

The program on television must be have good input and out output to make sure that the audiences that watch that program can get something from that program such as in America, the program that have a lot of learning process and also test the children knowledge what they learn at school, “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” .

I want to share about the most expensive house in the world. It’s located 25 miles outside of London. Among the estate’s neighbors are the Duchess of York, Elton John, and, at nearby Windsor Castle, the Queen. So, what exactly would you get for your money? Well, you know, just the basics:
• • 103 rooms
• • five swimming pools
• • 50-seat screening room
• • 24-carat-gold leafing flooring
• • squash court
• • bowling alley
• • all-weather, floodlit tennis courts
• • 58-acre estate
• • 22 bedroom and bathroom suites
• • Gate lodge
• • estate manager’s office
• • Private cinema
• • Stables
• • Heated marble driveway
• • Underground garaging for eight limousines
• • a shooting gallery
• • 30 self-contained luxury apartments

IS THAT ALL?
Don’t be silly. The master bedroom has its own swimming pool accessed by a private glass lift. The roof has an infinity pool and hot tub encased by a glass barrier that allowed sky and water to meet. The reception hall occupies a footprint larger than most five-bedroom houses. It is dominated by marble columns and a sweeping double staircase modelled on one owned by fashion designer Versace.
So, who owns this little shack?
Apparently the proud owner of Updown Court is multi-billionaire crown prince of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The racehorse owner, who already owns a property in Chertsey in Surrey, is expected to entertain official guests at the mansion.
This people always say “Our houses is like our haven and the perfect place to relax our mind” that means no wonder nowadays people spend a lot of money to get perfect houses to live. For me, the better houses is the people that live at that houses.
Thank you.

I have read about Recycle it!

With such technological progress in today’s era couples with very little plans on how to recycle, reuse or renew these items, we are in for a disaster! At the current pace, phones, batteries, and charges alone will add up to 65,000 tons on high value waste per year in the US. These products are not biodegradable and can contain a lot of toxic material that can eventually contaminate the soil and water surrounding them. So, what I must do for it? I think I must drop the mobiles in the recycling bin, send the PC to secondhand stores or buy mercury free laptops and screens.

Water is a common chemical substance that is essential for the survival of all known forms of life. In typical usage, water refers only to its liquid form or state, but the substance also has a solid state, ice, and a gaseous state, water vapor or steam. Water covers 71% of the Earth's surface. on Earth, it is found mostly in oceans and other large water bodies, with 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation. Saltwater oceans hold 97% of surface water, glaciers and polar ice caps 2.4%, and other land surface water such as rivers, lakes and ponds 0.6%. A very small amount of the Earth's water is contained within biological bodies and manufactured products. Other water is trapped in ice caps, glaciers, aquifers, or in lakes, sometimes providing fresh water for life on land. For detail log on this website
