Hi guys,
Do you know about diabetes? There are two types of diabetes. It is type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. With type 1 diabetes people don't make any insulin—a hormone that allows glucose (sugar) to enter the cells of your body to produce energy-and people with type 2 don't make enough insulin or are unable to utilize it properly (insulin resistance). A third of people with type 2 diabetes don't know they have it, and oftentimes people don't learn they have diabetes until they have eye problems, kidney damage, gum or nerve damage.
Today, i want to share with you some information about type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes develops slowly over a period of many years. In the early stages people may have few or no symptoms.
Symptoms of diabetes may include:

-Excessive thirst
-Increased hunger
-Increased urination
-Fatigue
-Blurred vision
-Weight loss
-Frequent vaginal yeast infection in women
-Gum problems
-Sores that don't heal
-Itching
-Impotence in men
-Unusual sensations, such as tingling or burning, in the extremities
While the risk factors for type 2 diabetes include:

-Age 45 or older
-Overweight-high body mass index (BMI)
-High blood pressure (hypertension)
-High cholesterol
-A history of diabetes during pregnancy (gestational diabetes)
-A family history of the disease
-Physical inactivity
Although there is no cure for type 2 diabetes, there are many things you can do to prevent the disease. Eating a healthy diet, exercising and maintaining a healthy weight can help prevent the consequences of diabetes. A healthy diet includes eating a variety of foods including high-fiber, low-fat, low-cholesterol foods, and whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Any amount of exercise is beneficial, however, 30 minutes five days a week is recommended. And losing excess weight will help your body better use insulin and lower your blood pressure. Losing just 5% to 7% of body weight can delay or prevent type 2 diabetes.
So, be aware with diabetes.

Hello.
Welcome back to UMP.
I was read about our the important sector of biotechnology in all of Malaysia's economic corridors. Our Prime Minister said.
"I would like to see biotechnology drive all the economic corridors. These are areas where the population is multiracial and it will improve their quality of life," he said in his keynote address at the BioMalaysia 2008 conference and exhibition in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

He urged businesses in strong sectors like palm oil to step up investment in biotechnology, and said those in other sectors, too, must apply biotechnology in their operations.

Abdullah stressed that the aim and spirit of the national biotechnology policy, launched three years ago, must be kept alive even if its implementation or approach was altered.
The biotechnology policy concentrates on three major sectors such as agriculture, industrial, and medical and pharmaceutical.

Besides that, there would also be a push for marine biotechnology in Sabah, while in Sarawak, aspects of biofuel would come into play.

A the same times, the current financial crisis in the United States provided an opportunity for foreign investors to enhance or move their investments to Malaysia.

hello..i have read about our mosque of Al-Aqsa just now..as we know mosque of Al-Aqsa is the first qiblat of Muslim before it's transfer to Kaabah. but now the mosque of Al-Aqsa is under Jews.. Jews take a advantage to confusing people especially Muslim..they have distibuted the picture of Dome of The Rock as a mosque of Al-Aqsa.. sometimes they sell with a low price and sometimes they give as free to many people.. Jews only have one reason to do this which is to demolish the real mosque of Al-Aqsa. as a Muslim, i think we should know how to differentiate between mosque of Al-Aqsa and Dome of The Rock. we did not to be fool by anyone that can destroy our belief in God.. let's us think about it...

I had read about specials of apple. Some information I got it from raeder's digest. We always heard that "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". But why? Do you really know what makes an apple so special? Why is it that we never hear an orange or a banana a day keeps the doctor away? This is reasons:
Stave off Alzheimer's disease - Apples contain quercetin, a powerful antioxidant that protects brain cells from degeneration in rats-and might do the same in humans. Be sure to eat the skin, says Cornell University researcher Chang Lee, since it's especially rich in disease-fighting compounds.
Protect against colon cancer - When the natural fiber in apples ferments in the colon, it produces chemicals that help fight the formation of cancer cells, according to new research from Germany.
Prevent high blood pressure - Adults who eat apples are 37 percent less likely to have hypertension, according to a recent food database analysis.
Apple contains Vitamin C - Vitamin C helps greatly your immune system. A lot of people who lack Vitamin C in their diet have poor healing, bruise easily and have bleeding gums.
Prevent tooth decay - Tooth decay is an infection that seriously damages the structure of your teeth, which is caused primarily because of bacteria. The juice of the apples has properties that can kill up to 80% of bacteria. So there you have it, an apple a day also keeps the dentist away!
There is some others reason why an apple a day keeps the doctor away. So, why not you practice it. Just make it your daily meals or snacks!

Lately i've been reading a book called the Secrets of The Widow's son by David A. Shugarts. The book was written for fans of Dan Brown's Robert Langdon series, who is waiting for the continuation of the Da Vinci Code.

The book mostly touches the theme of the next book, The Solomon Key, which is about freemansory. Freemansory is a fraternity which is clouded by secrecy. So, we can expect a lot of secret codes and also secret rituals we never heard of in the next book.

Just read this in an inspirational book.

"When you figure out love is all that matters after all, it sure makes everything else seem so small."

There is one thing we can't help but to go with the flow. We become mature slowly. Thinking back, I'm sure that are many things that we wish to change. Perhaps, we laugh at ourselves knowing how naive we are. We fight and ignore friends because of small matters. We obsess towards certain things that actually are just nothing. We let our mind stuck with bad thoughts and unwilling to let them go. It affects our relationship with others. Without realizing the truth, death knocks our door.

There are many ways to look at one thing. There are different angles to view it. For example, our parents shut us from going outside at night when we were quite young. From our eyes, we are mad at them. But, they are worried about us. I used to think that lies are evil. Now, I don't. I'm not encouraging to lie but in fact, we have to develop a skill to talk with techniques, a communication with no sharp edges(tactful). We quarrel with each other and never solve the argument. There are choices for us to change the ending but we are too stubborn. However, when we are standing on a cliff with one leg, immediately, we see things in whole and notice how small are the problems. Most of the time, we lose our chance to reverse everything during that time.

"Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand, what you've been up there searching for forever is in your hands."

hello guys...
i had read an article about migrain...
A migraine can be disabling with symptoms so severe, all you can think about is finding a dark, quiet place to lie down. Up to 17 percent of women and 6 percent of men have experienced a migraine.
In some cases, these painful headaches are preceded or accompanied by a sensory warning sign (aura), such as flashes of light, blind spots or tingling in your arm or leg. A migraine is also often accompanied by other signs and symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. Migraine pain can be excruciating and may incapacitate you for hours or even days.
Fortunately, management of migraine pain has improved dramatically in the last decade. If you've seen a doctor in the past and had no success, it's time to make another appointment. Although there's still no cure, medications can help reduce the frequency of migraine and stop the pain once it has started. The right medicines combined with self-help remedies and changes in lifestyle may make a tremendous difference for you.

A typical migraine attack produces some or all of these signs and symptoms:
 Moderate to severe pain, which may be confined to one side of the head or may affect both sides
 Head pain with a pulsating or throbbing quality
 Pain that worsens with physical activity
 Pain that interferes with your regular activities
 Nausea with or without vomiting
 Sensitivity to light and sound
When left untreated, a migraine typically lasts from four to 72 hours, but the frequency with which headaches occur varies from person to person. You may have migraines several times a month or just once or twice a year.
Not all migraines are the same. Most people experience migraines without auras, which were previously called common migraines. Some, however, have migraines with auras, which were previously called classic migraines. If you're in the second group, you'll likely have an aura about 15 to 30 minutes before your headache begins. Auras may continue after your headache starts or even occur after your headache begins. When you're experiencing an aura, you may:
 See sparkling flashes of light
 Perceive dazzling zigzag lines in your field of vision
 Experience slowly spreading blind spots in your vision
 Feel tingling, pins and needles sensations in one arm or leg
 Rarely, experience weakness or language and speech problems
Whether or not you have auras, you may have one or more sensations of premonition (prodrome) several hours or a day or so before your headache actually strikes, including:
 Feelings of elation or intense energy
 Cravings for sweets
 Thirst
 Drowsiness
 Irritability or depression

Migraines typically begin in childhood, adolescence or early adulthood and may become less frequent and less intense as you grow older. In addition to physical suffering, severe headaches often mean missed school days and trips to the emergency department, as well as lost work time for anxious parents.
Children's migraines tend to last for a shorter time. But the pain can be disabling and can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, lightheadedness and increased sensitivity to light. A migraine tends to occur on both sides of the head in children.
Children may also have all of the signs and symptoms of a migraine — nausea, vomiting, increased sensitivity to light and sound — but no head pain. These "abdominal migraines" can be especially difficult to diagnose.
The good news is that some of the same medications that are effective for adults also work for children. Your child doesn't have to go through the pain and disruption of migraines. If your child has headaches, talk to your pediatrician. He or she may want to refer your child to a pediatric neurologist.

functional changes in the trigeminal nerve system, a major pain pathway in your nervous system, and by imbalances in brain chemicals, including serotonin, which plays a regulatory role for pain messages going through this pathway.
During a headache, serotonin levels drop. Researchers believe this causes the trigeminal nerve to release substances called neuropeptides, which travel to your brain's outer covering (meninges). There they cause blood vessels to become dilated and inflamed. The result is headache pain.
Migraine triggers
Whatever the exact mechanism of headaches, a number of things may trigger them. Common migraine triggers include:
 Hormonal changes. Although the exact relationship between hormones and headaches isn't clear, fluctuations in estrogen seem to trigger headaches in many women with known migraines. Women with a history of migraines often report headaches immediately before or during their periods, and this corresponds to a major drop in estrogen. Others have an increased tendency to develop migraines during pregnancy or menopause. Hormonal medications, such as contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy, also may worsen migraines.
 Foods. Certain foods appear to trigger headaches in some people. Common offenders include alcohol, especially beer and red wine; aged cheeses; chocolate; fermented, pickled or marinated foods; aspartame; overuse of caffeine; monosodium glutamate — a key ingredient in some Asian foods; certain seasonings; and many canned and processed foods. Skipping meals or fasting also can trigger migraines.
 Stress. A hard week at work followed by relaxation may lead to a weekend migraine. Stress at work or home also can instigate migraines.
 Sensory stimuli. Bright lights and sun glare can produce head pain. So can unusual smells — including pleasant scents, such as perfume and flowers, and unpleasant odors, such as paint thinner and secondhand smoke.
 Changes in wake-sleep pattern. Either missing sleep or getting too much sleep may serve as a trigger for migraine attacks in some individuals.
 Physical factors. Intense physical exertion, including sexual activity, may provoke migraines.
 Changes in the environment. A change of weather, season, altitude level, barometric pressure or time zone can prompt a migraine.
 Medications. Certain medications can aggravate migraines.

and much more information about migrain..

i have read about forgiveness.
To forgive someone is not a feeling but it is a principle of life.It is a lesson that we must learn and is a life ong lesson. What it says is correct: To forgive someone that you love is easy but it is not true forgiveness. True forgiveness is to forgive your enemy and never hold grudges against he or she no matter what he or she do to us. If we cant forgive some one,it will leads to anger, resentment, bitterness, hatred, retaliation, violence and what is the worse which is murder.
Forgivessness seems to be a very simple topic but very least of us take a deep think of it and we never know that actually all those murder cases,suiciders...all happened because of unforgiveness...

So,we must learn to forgive someone no matter its how unfair to us because truth will be revealed one day...

TEENAGERS WHO SMOKE:
penalise the parents of smokers

refer to the report "Help to kick the habit" (NST, Oct 4) on teens and the smoking syndrome..

Smoking among schoolchildren needs to be looked at with greater urgency.

a survey has revealed that there are a few thousand schoolchildren lighting up each year for the first time.

the report says those between the ages of 13 and 15 form the highest percentage of teenage sokers in malaysia.

some syndroms are...
their lips are dark, their breath has a nauseating odour of tobacco and their uniforms, too, smell of tobacco.

students have to be made to realise that smoking has been deemed a chronic illness and that death occurs after a number of years of smoking.

Hi guys..
I had read an article about obesity...
If u look aroound you these days, you will notice that many are many children overweight. Why is obesity becoming more common among children these days??A lack of interst in sports, addiction to the television and computer and unhealthy eating habits are major reasons why more and more children are obese these days.

Obesity among children can be prevented by encouraging and motivating them to participate in outdoor activities, restricting the number of hours spent in front of the TV and computer and changing their dietry habits. If these solutions are not taken seriously, then it is likely that we will have a nation of obese and unhealty adults in twenty years' time.

I think everyone have an experience about not enough sleep and sleep very late...
Recently, I was interested to read about this article at the internet. Here, I want to share to all of you about this article.

10 Reasons Not to Skimp on Sleep:-

1) Less may mean more. For people who sleep under seven hours a night, the fewer zzzz's they get, the more obese they tend to be, according to a 2006 Institute of Medicine report. This may relate to the discovery that insufficient sleep appears to tip hunger hormones out of whack. Leptin, which suppresses appetite, is lowered; ghrelin, which stimulates appetite, gets a boost.

2) You're more apt to make bad food choices. A study published this week in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine found that people with obstructive sleep apnea or other severely disordered breathing while asleep ate a diet higher in cholesterol, protein, total fat, and total saturated fat. Women were especially affected.

3) Diabetes and impaired glucose tolerance, its precursor, may become more likely. A 2005 study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that people getting five or fewer hours of sleep each night were 2.5 times more likely to be diabetic, while those with six hours or fewer were 1.7 times more likely.

4) The ticker is put at risk. A 2003 study found that heart attacks were 45 percent more likely in women who slept for five or fewer hours per night than in those who got more.

5) Blood pressure may increase. Obstructive sleep apnea, for example, has been associated with chronically elevated daytime blood pressure, and the more severe the disorder, the more significant the hypertension, suggests the 2006 IOM report. Obesity plays a role in both disorders, so losing weight can ease associated health risks.

6) Auto accidents rise. As stated in a 2007 report in the New England Journal of Medicine, nearly 20 percent of serious car crash injuries involve a sleepy driver—and that's independent of alcohol use.

7) Balance is off. Older folks who have trouble getting to sleep, who wake up at night, or are drowsy during the day could be 2 to 4.5 times more likely to sustain a fall, found a 2007 study in the Journal of Gerontology.

8) You may be more prone to depression. Adults who chronically operate on fumes report more mental distress, depression, and alcohol use. Adolescents suffer, too: One survey of high school students found similarly high rates of these issues. Middle schoolers, too, report more symptoms of depression and lower self-esteem.

9) Kids may suffer more behavior problems. Research from an April issue of the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine found that children who are plagued by insomnia, short duration of sleeping, or disordered breathing with obesity, for example, are more likely to have behavioral issues like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

10) Death's doorstep may be nearer. Those who get five hours or less per night have approximately 15 percent greater risk of dying—regardless of the cause—according to three large population-based studies published in the journals Sleep and the Archives of General Psychiatry.

I'am among of this.I realised that I'am in dangerous if I continue to have insufficient sleep. Therefore, I want to change my habit to get better health.

hi guys..
i have read about cancer..do you kno what is cancer??let me tell you a bit about cancer..

Cancer is a complex group of over 100 different types of cancer. Cancer can affect just about every organ in the human body.

Next,how does cancer develop?
The organs in our body are made up of cells. Cells divide and multiply as the body needs them. When these cells continue multiplying when the body doesn't need them, the result is a mass or growth, also called a tumor.

These growths are consider either benign or malignant. Benign is considered non-cancerous and malignant is cancerous.

Benign tumors rarely are life threatening and do not spread to other parts of the body. They can often be removed.

This is the way how the cancer spread to other parts of the body..
The cells within malignant tumors have the ability to invade neighboring tissues and organs, thus spreading the disease. It is also possible for cancerous cells to break free from the tumor and enter the blood stream, and spreading the disease to other organs. This process of spreading is called metastasis.

When cancer has metastasized and has affected other areas of the body, the disease is still referred to the organ of origination. For instance, if cervical cancer spreads to the lungs, it is still called cervical cancer, not lung cancer.

Although most cancers develop this way, diseases like leukemia do not. They affect the blood and the organs that form blood and then invade nearby tissues.

All cancers are different, and require different treatment. What may be effective for prostate cancer, probably will not be for bladder cancer. Diagnosing cancer will vary as well, depending on the organ affected.

that's all i have read about cancer..i hope we can keep our healthy lifestyle..keep your body health..

'True friendship is seen through the heart not through the eyes'
Friendship is one of those parts of life that we at times take for granted. It rolls off of our tongues as if we expect it to be present in all areas of our lives. But in truth, how many true friendship do we have? Are they true friends?
True friends form a special connection that will weather any storm. True friends understand being human and give the other room to grow. True friends are there even when they are not expected to be present. True friends know and cherish each other’s gift. When you look at your true friends you will uncover who you are. You will see a reflection of your soul and will in turn become educated in the pathway you follow. You will see your world before you and will see without any doubts the truth of your way. You see true friends are simply your self in disguise. By uncovering that disguise you see before your eyes the world you created and the being your have become. Remember, the greatest gift is not found in a store nor under a tree, but in the hearts of true friends-(Cindy Lew). Most people walk in and out of you life. But only friends leave footprints in your heart. So, think of your true friends and be grateful for the gifts they bring to your life.

Last week, i went to Kuantan with my friends by car. In the shopping complex, we went into a book shop to look for some interesting books or magazines. Fortunately, i found a book in the section of novel. It is a quite long time for me to search for this book. This is because this book is not produced anymore. So, I felt so happy and bought it with expensive price.

After i went back to UMP, i started to read this book. The title of this book is 'The legend of detective Sherlock Holmes'.This book have many chapters and pages, soneed much time to finish it.this book describes the weird and hard cases is solved by the famous detective. There are almost one hundred is written inside the book. This detective is very clever and good in serching the clues by watching the crime scenes. All cases which cannot be solved by the policemen although they use a lot of energy and time, are solved with him easily day in one day.

The most interesting case in this book is 'The love in a beautiful place'. One day, the policeman tell him a case on the midnight. The rich people named George was killed in a abandoned house, but they did not have any clues about the murderer. After the detective heard the case, he felt interesting and then decided to go the house. When he arrived there, he started to observe any tracks outside and inside the house. Then, he asked the first person wjo found George in this house. According to the data given by the person, he saw the light in this house opened. Therefore, he felt wweird and went into the house to find out what happen. Next, he saw George died in the corner of house with some blood in the floor and wall.

After all data that he gather, he suddenly say the murderer is a red face guy.He tell the police about his job, height and what happened here. The policeman felt impressed and ask why he know all about this. He did not say anything and went back to his home.Next morning, he send the mesej to a village and he know who is the murderer and where the murder want to go after the case.

Shortly, he has an idea to trap the murder because he know this murderer is strong in stamina and very clever. Finally, the policeman caught the murderer named James in the third days.
James felt impressed of the detective and told everything about the case. James is a poor and handsome in a beautiful village and live with family happily. He and a girl love each others and want to marry in a short period of time. But, the bad things always happen before the good things. George is the son of the leader of village. He is so proud and always bully people. the girl's beauty attracted George. As a result, George used the power to get marry with her. Although James n that girl try to escape, but they failed and James was hit by George. James cannot stay at the village any more.

After few weeks, George married the girl.James tried to get the girl back. Afther few months, the girl was tortured by George until died. James felt so angry and want to revenge. He think many methods to kill George but all efforts failed.James followed from the Asia to London For twenty years. He always sleep outside and in the jungle, so he fell sick serious and die soon. Therefore, his face became red and blood always out of his nose. When at that day, he saw George drunk at the street, he knew this is last chance to kill George before he dies. Then, he explain how to kill George same like the explaination of the detective.

Finally, he gave a smile to the detective and told him that he does not care of his life. Now he feels very satisfied. The police man put him onto jail after he sid those words. Few days later, he died in the jail becuse the disease. I really lucky to buy such an intereting book although with many money. In conclusion, I hope you all can read about this book if you get a chance.

Halo..
I have recently read about 'Friendship' in Wikipedia.
'Friendship' is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more beings. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis. Friends will welcome each other's company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, often to the point of altruism. Their tastes will usually be similar and may converge, and they will share enjoyable activities. They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. Yet for many, friendship is nothing more than the trust that someone or something will not harm them. Value that is found in friendships is often the result of a friend demonstrating the following on a consistent basis:

hye guyz..

recently i hve read abot migraine..actually,migraine is a common complaint affecting thousands of Americans, especially women. It presents as severe headache coupled with nausea and discomfort. The sufferer is quite unable to do any useful activity during a bout of migraine. Episodes come unannounced and for no apparent reason. Pain could subside on its own or by taking migraine medicine. Thus, it is not possible to predict onset of migraine and hence, migraine episodes interfere with his or her routine activities. Hence, those who suffer migraine usually follow certain remedies that include medication as well.

The exact cause or origin of migraine is not yet clear. Therefore, treatment strategies focus on relieving symptoms as and when they arise. Relief from migraine depends on the severity and duration of attack. For moderate intensity and short duration, one could rest lying down preferably in a dark room. If lucky to get sleep, the pain would pass on waking up. This is not however an ideal solution for it could eat away time from other tasks lined up. Hence, patients turn to migraine medicine.

There are three types of medicine that are effective in relieving migraine pain. The first group includes pain relievers or anti-inflammatory drugs. Examples are acetaminophen, ibuprofen and naproxen. Acetaminophen is a popular over-the-counter drug that is suitable for mild attacks of migraine. For frequent moderate to intense episodes, you could use a combination of acetaminophen and ibuprofen after consulting your doctor. Although these are safe, non-steroidal drugs, it is better to check for adverse effects in long-term use of migraine medicine. Always use according to directions on the package. A possible home remedy is to drink black coffee after taking the pill.this will help u to feel better than before..

hi everybody...
just now i read about AIDS...AIDS is short form from word acquired immune deficiency syndrom. AIDS is a set of symptoms and infections resulting from the damage to the human immune system caused by the human immunodeficiency virus(HIV). this progressively reduces the effectiveness of the immune system and leaves andividuals susceptible to opportunistic infections and tumors. HIV is transmitterd through direct contant of a mocous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid or breast milk. this transmission can involve anal, vaginal or oral sex, blood transfusion, contaminated hypodermic needles, exchange between mother and baby during pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding or other exposure to one of the above bodily fluids. the symptoms of AIDS are primarily the result of conditions that do not normally develop in individuals with healthy immune systems. most of these conditions are infection caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites that are normally controlled by the element of the immune system that HIV damages. people with AIDS also have an increased risk of developing various cancers such as cancers of the immune system knows as lymphomas. besides that, people with AIDS often have systemic symptoms of infection like fevers, sweats(particularly at night), swollwn glands, chills, weakness and weight loss...

hye everyone...
do you know anything about the migraine??are you one of the person who suffer because of migraine??whwn we talk about the migraine what crossed to our mind is always somethung bad and we do not expect good about the migraine right??..hmmm,i want to share something with you all... i have read one article said that migraine is good for the memory...
it sounds weird right..but in that article mention that people with migraine suffer less memory loss over time than the unafflicted..according to the finding of the researchers from the Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, while migraineurs scored lower on memory tests at the start of their study, they showed 17 per cent less cognitive decline than non-migraineurs 12 years later.
meanwhile study author Dr Amanda Kalaydjian said that migraine medications such as ibuprofen, which might have a protective effect on memory, might be partially responsible...
but in that article also mention that it seems more likely that there may be an underlying biological mechanism, such as changes in blood vessels or differences in brain activity..

hmmm..
unexpectable rigth..so,maybe we cannot judge a thing too early rigth..if look something bad at anything, we cannot say that the whole thing is bad right..for me, that is the wonderfullnes and special about the God's creation..full of secrets..

Sorry...I'm too lazy to sent comment to this blog. I have read a lot of articles and news. One of the articles is about AEDES by Roland Mortimer and Rio de Janeiri. Let me share with you about this article. As we already know these mosquitoes is 3 to 4mm in length and it is totally black with white spots on the body. Did you know how long these mosquitoes can live? Most of us think that mosquitoes only live for 2 to 3 days. Actually they live for months. The males do not bite human or animal and only females bites. This is because females needs blood to mature the eggs. The most important fact that we should know is Aedes lays eggs separately that allow them to spread over large surface. This also make them have better chance of survival. Besides, Aedes only lays eggs in clean water not like other species that lay eggs in any type of water. Then I will tell you about Aedes aegypti which is the most intelligent mosquito. These mosquitoes dependent on human due to long duration live near human. They learned a lot from human such as they reduced the 'humming' sound so that man cannot hear it, attack man from below or behind usually at the feet and ankles. Only this I can share with you about this article.

i have read some facts about sleep from reader's digest. Sleep could have more effect on our health than we think. Here are 5 surprising reasons to get more sleep.

i) It could make you thinner
The less sleep you get, the higher your body mass index tends to be. Research showed that people who sleep five hours a night were found to have 15 per cent more ghrelin (a hormone that boosts hunger) in their bodies and 15 per cent less leptin (which suppresses it) than those sleeping eight hours.

ii) It could boost your memory Sleep plays a key role in making new memories stick in the brain. A Harvard experiment showed that subjects taught complex finger movements such as a piano scale recalled them better after 12 hours’ sleep than 12 hours’ wakefulness.

iii) It can fight colds, ulcers and even cancer
Good sleep boosts the immune system. Melatonin, produced when you sleep, is a cancer-fighting antioxidant. Night-shift workers may have up to 70 times greater risk of breast cancer. Also, the chemical to repair damage to the stomach lining is secreted during sleep, so staying up all night regularly could raise your risk of ulcers.

iv) It can slow down ageing Persistent sleep debt affects carbohydrate meta-bolism and hormone function in a way that may increase the severity of age-related chronic disorders. A large-scale study concluded that people who sleep six to seven hours a night lived longer than those sleeping less than 4.5 hours.

v) It could keep you orderly
If you’re a child, that is. The depression and low self-esteem often associated with just being a teenager actually correlate with sleep shortage. Young kids who sleep poorly are more than twice as likely to take to drink and drugs in adolescence.

So those who love to burn the midnight oil..you should consider this..*wink*
