assalammualaikum...

Eid ul-Fitr or Id-ul-Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفطر ‘Īdu l-Fiṭr‎), often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning "festivity", while Fiṭr means "to break the fast" (and can also mean "nature", from the word "fitrah"); and so the holiday symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period. It is celebrated starting on the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal.

Practices by country..
United Kingdom..
As Eid ul-Fitr is not a recognised public holiday in the United Kingdom, Muslims are obliged to attend the morning prayer. In a large ethnically Muslim area, normally schools and local businesses give exemptions to the Muslim community to take three days off. In the rest of the UK it is not recognised as it is not on a fixed date as it is decided by the sighting of the moon on the night before.

Turkey...
In the Republic of Turkey, all national and religious celebrations are referred to as Bayram (meanings related to holiday or festival). Eid-ul-Fitr is known as, Ramazan Bayramı (ramadan festival) or Şeker Bayramı (sugar festival). It is a national religious holiday in Turkey, where schools and government offices are closed, and lasts for three days and a half.

Southeast Asia...
In Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, Eid is also commonly known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Hari Raya Idul Fitri or Hari Raya Puasa. Hari Raya literally means 'Day of Celebration' i.e. 'The Day'. Muslims in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore celebrate Eid like other Muslims throughout the world. It is the biggest holiday in Indonesia and Malaysia and is the most awaited one. Shopping malls and bazaars are filled with people days ahead of Hari Raya, causing a distinctive festive atmosphere throughout the country.

thanks u..salam adilfitri for all muslim..

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the fasting of Ramadan. This has to do with the communal aspects of the fast, which expresses many of the basic values of the Muslim community. Fasting is believed by some scholars to extol fundamental distinctions, lauding the power of the spiritual realm, while acknowledging the subordination of the physical realm.

The Islamic tradition also associates events with the occasion. For example, on Eid al-Fitr, the angel Gabriel descended with white clothes for each of prophet Muhammad's grandsons.

KTM is a company from Australia that produced a motorcycle such as the on-road and the off-road bike but the company has make a breakthrough with the new KTM X-Bow roadster. The model, to be equipped with a four-cylinder Audi engine, producing as much as 220 horsepower and equipped with either a six-speed manual or the famous DSG gearbox, will feature acceleration time of well under four seconds. There may also be much more powerful model, featuring 300bhp concept car and even better dynamics. Like many other super-lightweight roadsters available, the KTM X-Bow will have no windshield but will be sold with a pair of specially designed helmets instead. The helmets will not provide the driver and a passenger with adequate crash protection, but will do to cover their owners from water and dust particles. The car will be mass produced next year with a target of 500 per year. I really hope to see one of it in Malaysia because it is such a cool car.

-Those entities that perform one or more acts of leading.
-The ability to affect human behavior so as to accomplish a mission.
-Influencing a group of people to move towards its goal setting or goal achievement.

There are also several types of leadership style such as bureaucratic leader, bureaucratic leader, autocratic leader, democratic leader, transaction leader and so on.

ANAS(AA08039) A few days ago i've read a story about a bearded lady. She's a lady and she has beard. I'm not sure whether it's true or not but the story goes like this...

There once a lady who work in a circus. She's 'unique', that's the only word that that I can think of to describe her. She's a lady but she has beard. After years and years she work there, she met a man that work in the circus too.

As they became friends, time goes by, days to weeks and weeks to months. The bearded lady fell in love with the man. The problem here is that the man was normal but the lady is 'unique'. Her love story spread like wildfire. People talk about them most of the time and they laugh at her saying things that they shouldn't. The man felt embarrassed and keep distance from the lady.

The bearded lady took a decision, advised by a friend of hers, she shave her beard and loose her job at the circus because of the man. The man felt guilt and was touched by her sacrifice.

They married and in the same time the man had a brilliant idea so that the lady can get back her work, by tattooing all her body and became a "tattoo woman".

Well, that's how the story goes.

hello..

now, I want to share some motivated story with you guys...
actually I bet all of you know this story, because we have heard it since we were kid..well, it is about THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE..

once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who was faster.
they decided to settle the argument with a race.they agreed on a route and started off the race.
the hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time.then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he'd sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race..
he sat under the tree and soon fell asleep.
the tortoise plodding on the overtook him and son finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ.
the hare woke up and realize that he'd lost the race.

well, do know what is the moral of the story?
erm,
the moral is,SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE.....
hahahaha....

before this i wrote a story of HE TORTOISE AND THE HARE..now, i would like to continue the story..

the hare was disappointed at loosing the race and he did some soul-searching. he realized that he'd lost the race only because he had been overconfident, careless and lax. if he had not taken things for granted, there's no way the tortoise could have beaten him.
so, he challenged the tortoise to another race. the tortoise agreed.
this time, the are went all out and ran without stopping from start to finish. he won by several miles...

well, and again do you what is the moral of the story??
nope, you're wrong..
the moral of the story is "fast and consistent will always beat the slow and steady". if you have 2 people in your organization, one slow, methodical and reliable, and the other is fast and still reliable at what he does, the faster and reliable chap will consistently climb the organization ladder than the slow, methodical chap.
IT''S GOOD TO BE SLOW AND STEADY; BUT IT'S BETTER FAST AND RELIABLE..

hello there..
I want to share this story to all and from this story have lesson for us.....

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them
fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit
was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The
two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit
with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop,
that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took
heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down
and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again,
the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He
jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
to encourage another.

hmm..
i have somthing that interesting to share with you all..
must read this!!hehe..

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,
"Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

hmm..
me again??
actually, there's something i want to share to all...

There was a rich merchant who had 4 wives. He loved the 4th wife the most and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to delicacies. He took great care of her and gave her nothing but the best.

He also loved the 3rd wife very much. He's very proud of her and always wanted to show off her to his friends. However, the merchant is always in great fear that she might run away with some other men.

He too, loved his 2nd wife. She is a very considerate person, always patient and in fact is the merchant's confidante. Whenever the merchant faced some problems, he always turned to his 2nd wife and she would always help him out and tide him through difficult times.

Now, the merchant's 1st wife is a very loyal partner and has made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and business as well as taking care of the household. However, the merchant did not love the first wife and although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.

One day, the merchant fell ill. Before long, he knew that he was going to die soon. He thought of his luxurious life and told himself, "Now I have 4 wives with me. But when I die, I'll be alone. How lonely I'll be!"

Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I loved you most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!" replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word.

The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the merchant's heart. The sad merchant then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you so much for all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is so good over here! I'm going to remarry when you die!" The merchant's heart sank and turned cold.

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I always turned to you for help and you've always helped me out. Now I need your help again. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!" replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only send you to your grave." The answer came like a bolt of thunder and the merchant was devastated.

Then a voice called out : "I'll leave with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go." The merchant looked up and there was his first wife. She was so skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition. Greatly grieved, the merchant said, "I should have taken much better care of you while I could have !"

Actually, we all have 4 wives in our lives

a. The 4th wife is our body. No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it'll leave us when we die.

b. Our 3rd wife ? Our possessions, status and wealth. When we die, they all go to others.

c. The 2nd wife is our family and friends. No matter how close they had been there for us when we're alive, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.

d. The 1st wife is in fact our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasure.

Guess what? It is actually the only thing that follows us wherever we go. Perhaps it's a good idea to cultivate and strengthen it now rather than to wait until we're on our deathbed to lament

nice story to all..

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

hi..
emm,I want to share this to you all....

His name was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying to eke out a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slow
and terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
"I want to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son's life."
"No, I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of the family hovel.
"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked. "Yes," the farmer replied proudly.
"I'll make you a deal. Let me take him and give him a good education.
If the lad is anything like his father, he'll grow to a man you can be proud of."
And that he did. In time, Farmer Fleming's son graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin.
Years afterward, the nobleman's son was stricken with pneumonia.
What saved him? Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son's name? Sir Winston Churchill.

Someone once said what goes around comes around.

do you smoke?? or have a friend that smoke?? i accidentally read about 'stop-smoking'
it saids that more than 500,000 deaths in U.S are caused from smoking-related illness. adult smokers reduce their lifespan by an average of 13 to 14 years. gosh!can you imagine it?
it also state that, even if you have no idea where to start and what to do, you can quit smoking as long as you have the mindset and commitment to do so. smoking is one of the main cause of serious health diseases, such as cancer, stroke, and heart problems.
so, i hope that if any of you that haven't stop smoking yet, then i think you should stop smoking.. you should appreciate your life and also those person around you..

how many of you know that nails can teach you a lot about your health...??? well, i just did...

Changes in your nails can often be one of the first signs of a problem with your diet or a vitamin or nutrient deficiency. Nail changes may signify a number of disorders elsewhere in the body. These changes may indicate illness even before the rest of the body does.

The following is a list of disorders that often show up in the nails:

Brittle nails signify possible iron deficiency and thyroid problems, impaired kidney function, and circulation problems

Yellow nails can indicate internal disorders long before other symptoms appear. Some of these are problems with the lymphatic system, respiratory disorders, diabetes, and liver disorders

Nails that chip, peel, crack, or break easily show a nutritional deficiency and insufficient hydrochloric acid and protein. Minerals may also be needed

White spots on the nails can be a sign of a zinc deficiency.

Hello...
Eating on your desk again?? before gobbling down at lunch, try stress-relieving stretches.
If people only ate when they were hungry the diet industry would be devastated. The fact is, hunger is only a part of why we eat. We also eat to distract ourselves, to relieve tension and for comfort. Many of us eat more-or less-than is healthful because of stress.
What you can do??
Keep a supply of low-calorie munchies handy at work. Avoid caffeine. Before you eat, try one of these stress-relieving exercises:
- Deep breathing: take several deep breaths, using your stomach muscles, hold and let all the air out, feeling tension leave your body as you relax.
- Stretching: shrug and rotate your shoulders; clasp your hands behind you and raise them to a comfortable height; stand up and reach for the ceiling; bend to either side to stretch the muscles of the torso.
- Take a brisk walk around the building
- Close your eyes and visualize a favourite peaceful spot-a meadow in spring or your favourite hideaway. Do these until you begin to feel relaxed

feeling headache?? especially when final exam is just around the corner?? well, do you know anything about headache??
Headaches don't get better when there is too much reliance on quick fixes. Taking an over the counter analgesic for the occasional headache is usually very effective. However, using quick fix medication more than once per week for headache relief can lead to chronic, recurrent headaches.
Headache sufferers usually find it hard to accept rebound as the cause of their headache syndrome. It's not perceptible on a headache-to-headache basis. It's something that accumulates gradually over time, so months or years down the road, your headache problem is worse. The frequency of consumption of the quick fix has escalated; it's the only thing that gives temporary relief. However, the end result is a more difficult headache syndrome to treat.
thank you

~no intention to kill~
truth is sometimes stranger thn fiction.. This is most evident in t.Vijayachandran's "no intention to kill".. A potential best-seller, which offers an extraordinary narrative of the experiences of a young woman from indonesia whose dreams of her pot of gold in Malaysia but finding horror and hardship instead..
A true story.. of an indonesian maid tht wrongly sentenced to death for murder of housewife... This narrative tells much of wht transpired behind the Court scenes & the normally unspoken trauma of the person in whose hands lie the fate of the accused... I enjoyed it so much & highly recommend this book for those who are interested in forensic aspects and the Court scenes.....

Do you know that we should drink at least 8 glass of water per day??

Health experts tell us to drink lots of water but that's not always easy to do. We have lives that keep us busy and often miss out on drinking water. Try putting eight-ounce bottles of water in your fridge. Don't fill to the top as you want to allow room for ice to thaw. Grab a frozen bottle of water as you leave your house in the morning and keep it in your car. When you get back to the car, chances are it will be nicely thawed and cold to drink. Another idea is to wrap it in a towel and carry it in your briefcase or handbag. Take it with you to the office or wherever you go. You can refill the bottles and always keep some frozen in your fridge, ready to go

Do you remember the story titled 'the tortoise and the hare'?? I would like to continue the story... Hope that you guys won't get bored reading this....

The hare and the tortoise, by this time had become pretty good friends and they did some thinking together. Both realized that the last race could have been run much better. So, they decided to do the last race again, but to run as a team this time. They started off, and this time the hare carried the tortoise till the riverbank.

There, the tortoise took over and swam across with the hare on his back. on the opposite bank, the hare again carried the tortoise and they reached the finishing line together. They both felt a greater sense of satisfaction than they'd felt earlier.

As usual, what is the moral of the story?? It’s good to be individually brilliant and to have strong core competencies; but unless you're able to work in a team and harness each other's core competencies, you'll always perform below par because there will always be situations at which you'll do poorly and someone else does well.
Teamwork is mainly about situational leadership, letting the person with the relevant core competency for a situation take leadership.
Ok then, thank you...

It’s me again...

There are more lessons to be learnt from this story (THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE)…

Note that neither the hare nor the tortoise gave up after failure. The hare decided to work harder and put in more effort after his failure. The tortoise changed his strategy because he was already working as hard as he could.

In life, when faced with failure, sometimes it is appropriate to work harder and put in more effort. Sometimes it is appropriate to change strategy and try something different. And sometimes it is appropriate to do both.

To sum up, the story of the hare and tortoise teaches us many things:

1. Never give up when faced with failure
2. Fast and consistent will always beat slow and steady
3. Work to your competencies
4. Compete against the situation, not against rival
5. Pooling resources and working as a team will always beat individual performers….

Ok… that was the end of the story… no more ‘The tortoise and the hare’ thing…

As students, we are the one who spends a good portion of portion of each day sitting. So, why does our back ache? I have read an article from the internet said the fact is most fact trouble is cause by poor posture and weak muscles… two conditions common to people who sit.

Therefore you can take care of your back, and keep it fit, by using good posture and building strength and flexibility…while you sit.

Well, if you want to, you can try these following tips to support and balance your back while sitting….:-

1. First place a pillow (or rolled up towel) at the back of your chair seat to support your lower back
2. Then, move your seat as close to your work as possible to keep from bending forward
3. Finally, angle your walk (or VDT screen) so you can look straight ahead then looking down.
4. Strong, Flexible Muscles……

Well, I hope that after this we will not facing this problem again...
