hye all..
i've read the qoute(Bertrand Russell' which is on "to conquer fear is the beginning wisdom".It is such a nice qoute that i think it gives a lot of inspiration and it is also involves internal feeling as the word of 'fear' is natural for human being.Everyone in this world,it is doesnt matter you are staying in tha city or even in the rural places will experience the feeling of fear. Some of us maybe fear to height, afraid to take risks, may be scared of some animals, peoples,PUBLIC SPEAKING, and so on.How to get rid or overcome of this such feeling? We might be wondering why it is happen?Actually we cannot get rid of it..but we still can reduce it..for examples...what we can do is just to calm yourself if something happen that wont go your way..like safuan said..we need to be relax..so that we can think wisely of what is the next steps that we can do in order to tackle it..

F - face it

E - enlarge your view of mind(be open minded)

A - all (situation/case/insident)happen has its own reason

R - relax and do not lose your focus

reminds me of the most powerful quote in the history of Jedi, quoted by Master Yoda himself:

Fear leads to anger... Anger leads to hate... And hate leads to suffering...

May the force be with you.

This world has many kind of fear like fear of insects, snakes, public speaking, high and so on.The fear is natural internal feeling of every human. But these fear can be overcame. My fear is failure and public speaking.i really hard to face failure because my life is so good before i study here. Now i get bad result and feel sad.I also feel scared of public speaking. In the past, i get low marks for every presentation that i pass. This quote inspires me to overcome these two fears.I hope i will do my best for the oral presentation to get good marks. As a result, it will start my new talent. In conclusion, humans should conquer their own fears to get wisdom and start their new journey.

i m totally agree with this quote-to conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom. WHY?
Actually i m a quite shy...is not shy actually, just that i dare not to stand in front of the public or even my friends to talk. But slowly...i tell myself i can do it! Once i step out my very first step i know i m slowly conquering my fear until i become the chang today BUT i know there is always a room of improvement i m trying to do better everyday as i know iwill have more challenges in near future! so let us conquer our fear!!!

Fear is something that everyone posses. But we also have "Empower" which is completely opposite to fearful. It is also lies beneath us.

It depends on ourselves whether to choose to be fearful or to be empowered. But in order to be empowered, we must supress the feeling of being fearful in ourselves. In other word, we must conquer our fear. Believe in ourselves that we can overcome the hurdle and make our future bright.

Let make "fear" be our enemy and "empower" be our friend.

Wisdom, as defined by wikipedia, is having gained knowledge, understanding, experience, discretion, and intuitive understanding, along with a capacity to apply these qualities well. Nevertheless, fear posts a huge thread when it is in our way during our excavation for wisdom. It is an inhibitor, of varying intensity, a boundary which tests the determination and willpower of one to proceed with a certain agenda. At times, when confronted by fear, some may have their backs against the wall, but fighting back ferociously, some others may be crippled to the condition of throwing a towel, retiring from the arena, commonly known as 'giving up'. I've noticed that, in lots of situations, by looking from another perspective, fear is nothing but a veil, as thin as the wings of cicadas, that is easily pierced with the slightest effort. Fear of public speaking? Why care about the so called intimidating audience? The stage, the podium, the time and the attention are all yours, up to you to maneuver according to your preference, isn't that a wonderful experience? Fear of being on a roller coaster ride? Come on, it's just elemental physics, you gain gravitational potential energy when the coaster gains altitude, and conversely, when it decends, you gain kinetic energy? What is so scary about that? Think of it this way, you feel heavy as it approaches the clear blue sky, the moment it goes downwards, you feel light and the rush of adrenaline, like a simulation of free fall as the coaster rushes towards the earth surface, isn't that exhilirating? Fear is nothing, so let's shake it off our heads, attempt to be fearless in everything we do. Do your best, and have no regrets.

Hello..
Yeah,i strongly agree with Farah. We should not afraid to face all those fear things but always be optimist and believe that we have a potential to pull away the fears and finally be a better person.Do not ever give up because of our weaknesses, but use it as a x-factor to achieve anything that we adore in our life.Yes,to conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom..when we successful to overcome our fears, there are no more barier in order to achieve something. We must believe that we have apower to overcome our fears. For example most of us very afraid when we hear about public speaking right?we start shivering and our heart will beat faster than usually.Relax, calm down..the audiences never eat us.Believe that you can do the best..try to control your feeling,be confident and the most important thing is we must realize that everyone make mistake. The difference is either we want to repeat all those mistakes or we learn from it and try to do better after that..=)
