1) On Speedtalk:
If this is your first experience doing Speed Talk, what do you think about it? Do you like this activity? In UHL 2322, there is a little twist in Speed Talk, Speed Talk this time asks you to prepare a question inviting or soliciting opinions, rather than asking for information like we did last semester (for those who have done it before last sem).
So, what was your question? What were your own thoughts on that topic? And out of all the opinions your friends gave you, which answer did you like most and why?
When we swapped roles, and you were on the receiving end, which question was most interesting to you?
2) On Opinion Headlines:
a) Which Opinion Headline was most interesting to you?
b) What attracted you to the Headline?
c) Was the story behind it as interesting as you thought it to be?
3) New Words: What new words have you learnt today? What was interesting about the word that you remembered it?
4) Readings: What have you read today? What type of reading text was it? Was it a poem, a story, a magazine article, a play, a summary? What did you like about it and why?
5) New Movies: What movie have you watched recently that you'd like to share with others? Was it a good movie that you'd recommend others to watch?
6) Something I learnt in class today: I think this topic is self explanatory. Basically discuss what you learnt in class regardless if it has anything to do with English or not. E.g. Today I learnt that there's no such thing as a stupid question....

both activities speedtalk n opinion headlines are very interesting. but it is quite tired because we have to talk loudly because the surronding is very noisy. but still interesting... hehehehehe,,, p/s: happy birthday to chin joon fui,, may god bless you,,
i love speak talk very much..why?? why you ask me?? OMG... a lot of benefits we can get in this activity.. what?? we can learn new information and words from this activity instead learning to speak clearly in front of peoples. hehehe.. thanks you..weeee

In my opinion,I like the speed talk because at that time,we donot feel very stress using english to talk.Beside that,we can learning something with other.I think speed talk is very fun.^^

Speeedtalk is a very interesting programme. It gives us the opportunity to communicate with people in English. Frankly, we don't use English (verbally) often in UMP. Plus we can exchange opinion from others and expand our knowledge.

oh my gosh.. what a nice activity.. speed talk... huhu.. it's a fun activity but i really feel tried after it.. i love to talk, shout and argue to people opinion.. i love ct headline the most.. hehe.. both of us are shouting to stand for our opinion, its fun.. hehe..

Yes,this is my first time doing speed talk.It is very interesting activity because we have to speak fast during the speed talk by giving opinion.I think myself should improve my language after this activity.=)
On speedtalk:
I love the speed talk very much but sometimes I don't know what to give opinions on some questions. But it is a way for me to detect my mistakes on my speaking.
My question is "it is necessary for UMP to block Youtube?". In my opinion , it is not necessary because Youtube is the easiest way beside Google to search any information. Maybe there are inappropriate video to watch but students should know what is bad or wrong and something students also need some entertainment because they can watch any music video.
Lots of my friends agree with the opinion and they think it is not necessary for UMP to block Youtube. But 2-3 friends think it is necessary to block Youttube.
Hi there! Mdm Ju here. Just dropping some lines to say that I like that you like Speed Talk and Opinion Headlines. But it'd be better if you can be as specific as Siti Zulaikha's comment. At least I know what you are refering to when you say you like a so and so's headline.
Well, that's the thing with rules. It always takes a few naughty souls to do some naughty downloads that deprives all from what was allowed in the first place.
So I guess if everyone be-haved in the first place, youtube wouldn't have been blocked.
But since it is, it'a a shame actually coz there are many videos uploaded that we can benefit from. It'd be nice if we can just block the inappropriate videos rather than the whole youtube; and that again is subjective. What is considered appropriate to some might not be appropriate to others. And that is why, folks, you guys don't get youtube here!

speed talk is the best activity. really love it. because we must speak fast and spontaneous regarding the questions that have been asked. i will miss this activity very much. :)
