i had always thinking about my future..where i want to work or want i want to be...actually i want to be a teacher since i was young but now i think i want to work at industry since the salary that i will get is reasonable and much higher than being a teacher..i realize this when i search about company in uhl 2322 before we had to present our company..

♥♥since i was taking this course(industrial chemistry),i was thinking what job that related to my course..but after madam jumani asked us to research bout the job that related to my course, i realize that many company was needed the employee in this chemistry field..most of them had said in the requirement to hold a degree about chemistry..they also need the employee who had some experience about this field..so,what i have to do right now is struggle and work hard to get an excellent result and obtain a degree of industrial chemistry..chaiyook2~~..♥♥
When I leave, I want to work at the company that need to use my skill and basic that i have learn which is related to my course. i hope i can be what i dream.

last week,we have been given a task from madam jumani about possible companies we'd work for,we'd google those companies and find out what qualities these companies require..
most of those componies request the same require such as,creative thinking,expert in at least 2 language(s),computer literate,good personality and of 'coz the bachelor degree..
nowadays,there are so many degree(s) with no jab at all..if we look at the economy which is not very stable at all,no wonder after we graduate (about 2012) we will face the same problem if we have no good in CGPA (that's what madam jumani told us yesterday)..
there are too much competition now,so we should not be too demanding as long as its can benefit to us...

Healthy competitions due to more graduates nowadays is such a scary thing to be thought. different company wants different requirements. But, what is the same of those are they want jobs experience, communication skills and the ability to act as a leader.

when i garduate.. i want to have a good position.. maybe in research.. especially in food production.. i really interested in nestle or any major brand name.. maybe in the future, i would like to establish my own brand food products.. this is what i hope.. huhu..

Basically, most companies want to hired a worker who have max 5 years of working experiences...

What makes the companies different from each other are some required a worker with their own transport,while some want the worker to have a great personality which is very important too...
So after reading the requirements of the companies, I realise that most of them want some working experiences...
Which means I have to work harder to get what i want...

On that day, our group have done some research about the task given. As the result, we managed to obtain several company that offer jobs to the graduated students linked to the course that we are taken which is Industrial Chemistry. After we did a few minutes discussion, we agreed that they were some requirements that have the similarity and differences between them. All company required an appliers to have at least Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry field. Besides that, the appliers must have a good communication skills rather in english or malay. Other than that, they also listed for the working experience. But, the companies that we observed required different times of working experiences. At the end of the activity, i realise that i have to aware about this matter of job. Thank you.

i actually searched for job requirement at sime darby sdn bhd on supervisor..it require some things that i can make it short for basically things such as one must has at least bachelor degree, good in communication, can speak malay and english well and also has good personality... in my view.. one should has enough confidence and knowledge in order to be easily get a job..as far as i am concern..nowdays people are hard to find a job due to some economic problems..there are also too many graduate are produced so company will choose only the best..that is why students now must very alert about this so that they will not jobless after they graduated later.. as we learn uhl 2312 last semester and uhl 2322 this semester..it actually gives a lot of advantage and help student to be prepared to seek the appropriate job. so...when i leave i wanna work at industry that i am interested in.

first of all, I would like to say a very a good day to Miss Ju. I would like to compliment the way you teaching because i found it interesting and make me love to go to this class. Its important to started seek a job and look at requirement wether it suits our personality so we can work with all our heart.
So our first task as a group is to find out the requirement of the job. The task may lead to the team work but at the same time it is an advantage for us prepare ourself with the requirement needed.
I found out many of the job requirement needed a person holding a bachelor degree in chemical industry that of course it what i'm studying about. They also needed a creative thinking person where as a chemist invent a new compund that will give advantage to living things is a must. English language is also important for us to know so that we can interact with other client when we work. computer literate is also one of the similarities requirement so that we can conduct the instrument in the lab.
The different is depending on the environment we wanted to involve to whether we want at the office so it we needed a management skill or if its lab we have to deal with all chemical and others.
I am expected all the requirement given. I have what it take to get the job but I think I might needed a time to prepare myself to seek the job.

hum think about the job after grad? i've ever think about it before but after madam ju give a task to us, i had thought where i would want to work after study...
we had search the company and their requirements for fresh graduate.... like us soon. insya Allah.... i believe that almost the company requires the degree that related with their company, influence to speak malay and english, have creative thinking, computer literate, have skills in communicate to others and so on. however, there are some aspects are differ from each companies want like some of the company require about have own transport, able to work during public holidays and weekend etc.
like what i've expected before all of company requires our skills and degree, able to speak malay and english fluently. and if we have experience work in our field it is much better than none....
i think i haven't qualities to apply those giant company like petronas, shell and mtbe that we had researched in my group..
i must practice a lot to speak in english and give a talk in front of my friends....erm i think so as i get nervous when give a talk. as the college student's, i should get my first degree on time with the best pointer. because there are so many intelligent students that able to speak english. hence, i should train myself to create creatives thinking.

after all the groups presented all the requirements needed to get different types of job and positions in diff companies, i was thinking that seeking for a good jod and position is quite hard nowadays. since i'm studying chemistry, i think i suppose to be a chemist or researcher or may be lecturer.
different job needs different requirement. but most of the companies want a worker who has at least a degree.. of course.. good communication skills, pleasant personality and etc..
but to be a lecturer, i have to have at least a master.. hmmm..
what ever i want to be.. i have to work hard not only in my studies but also working hard on my skills that will give me chances to get a better position in the future..

i always had been thinkin where i will work when i finish study, and which company will i work for.
to tell you the truth, i really have a passion to work at pertonas. since my dad had worked there for such a long time, he gave me inspiration to work there someday. seeing him doing so well there and it also had turn him in such a successful man gave me even more spirit to work there..
you ask us to search for the requirements of the company that had offer a job, we googled it. well turns out that most of the companies really wants their worker to have a minimum bach.degree in educational level, have an experience in working, good presentation skill, leadership, ba able to communicate in several languages, and good showmenship. there are couples of differences in the requirements such that the period of the work experiences, but majority of it is basically is the same.
seeing this all requirements, i am 100% sure that i am not ready to take the company challege. since i just in my 1st year in my bach.degree, i have to learn alot more and there is so many things that i have not yet try. i will try my best for my futute, and hopes for the best..

Last weeek, we had found out 5 different types of job and all of that job are related to our course( industrial chemistry ).
From this task, I found that the requirements that the companies need are actually similar. They need someone who are graduated, have work experience, good communication skill and can speak Malay or English. Actually these are the basic requirements for all company.
So that we have to learn more, read more, and improve ourself by now and not after graduated.

What job would I work for? I was think it before but I can't get the answer. After all the discussion, I find that the requirement of the companies searched were almost the same. They would require employees who have working experience to work for them. They also need their employees to be able to work independently and can speak and write in proper language such as English, Malay and others. The requirements was as I expected because employees need to be well in communication. I would to seek the employment of the shell company. I study hard to equip myself for the qualification required.
For me, I'm already think were I will be work after left college.
Because it one of the strong for myself to catch up in my study.

While the differ is, like the location of the job, some have in their overseas company and some in their local company.
For me...not too much, I have what the job require.
So, I have to learn more right now then improve it, before it's become too late.

Answering to the question that we have been posted with, I would have to say yes. I have definitely given a lot of thought as to where I would want to work once I graduate. Actually, I have pondered on this question numerous times, even back in secondary school. After all, is that not one of the objectives of education if not the main? We are all striving and putting our best effort in our studies in order to be top of the pack and to graduate with an excellent qualification that would ensure us better employment.
Hence, the group discussion that we had the other day on the various job requirements set by the various companies related to our course was really an eye-opener. In my group, we decided that each one of us google a company. Therefore, the companies that I have chosen were Titan Chemicals and Kaneka (Malaysia). Based on the information that I had, there were several similarities between the two, namely good interpersonal and communication skills, well conversed and computer literate. They only differ in that Titan wanted people who had job experinces while Kaneka on the other hand, wanted fresh graduates who were willing to work on shifts. Their demands for employment were not exactly what I would have expected though, as I would thought large companies such as theirs would look mainly on qualifications.
These information that I have gathered indeed set my determination ablaze to work harder on my academics as well as my communication skills, so that I too, might have a shot at gaining entry into these giants of the industry. Hopefully, when I graduate, I would have been well moulded and well prepared to enter into the working world.

By discussing in group, we had been searched through a lot of company job requirement that are related to our field of Industrial Chemistry. We had working on companies such as Petronas, MTBE Sdn Bhd and Hershey's Chocolate Company to find their similarities. Finally, our research came out with these results :
At least Degree in Chemistry Course and related field
4 years work experience
Good communication skill
Can speak English fluencely
Cooperative and can work in a group
Good in computer handling skill
Imaginative and productive in doing works
Capable to go overseas
I think there are a lot of similarities rather than differences. As I expected, excellent academic achievement, work experiences, good English communication, group work environment and expertise in computer will usually meet the demands for the job. This task gave me a positive motivation in entering the nowadays global job field. They seem so interesting and I'll try my best in achieving it!!!

I never really put much thoughts for the future...i like to keep it real...and go where the winds would take me...since I'm currently major in chemistry...I did some research on several job offers for my field of expertise (so much for the wind would take me huh!!) And most of them requires:
-5 years of working experiences
-Minimum a Bachelor Degree
-And have language n computer skills.
-Driving License
Now I'm clear what I should do before I intend to work in big companies like Shell or Petronas or Titans or Idemitsu...first and foremost.. I need to gain working experience after graduating...and things would get easier from there...
